For creators: What are your feelings about repackagers?
So, after a delightful convo with a person that got salty because couldn't read a text I started to ponder if I'm the only one feeling protective of the objects I make.

What do I mean?

Let me give you an example:
I made several clocks in all these years, I love clocks. At first they had two scripts, one in each hand, that moved showing you the time. In time I made the script better, more flexible and on each iteration of the script I've updated all the clocks I made. Now the script is pretty much done and the clocks works as I envisioned they should.

Now, that took me years, my time is limited and it seems I can't concentrate on a single thing for long, I guess that's on me. However at some point in time someone took one of my clocks, repackaged and put it in her store.
The clock's script was far from great at that point in time (although it worked) and of course this repackager never bother to keep it up to date.

So now there's this clock floating around, without a manual, without credits, without context that doesn't have the functions it should with my name and my brand on it. The people who gets that one will be disappointed and it will be on my Shop.

I give my stuff full perm, I can't stop it, I don't like it at all, that's the main reason I don't accept offering to open mini-stores elsewhere, am I overly protective?

If you create things, from scratch like me, what do you feel about your creations?

I won't change, probably, but at least I want to know how crazy I am =D
