Our good friend Thorvaldr Ragnarsson has joined our grid and plans to open a specialty shop called THORVALDR'S FORGE, where he will make his own builds available to all who would like them. His theme is primarily Norse in nature and he, like all of our builders here on the grid, wish to make our original builds free to all at our mall. Here in the town of Stag Hollow, we have plenty of free homes for those who choose to live here. There are Hotels, Motels, a Saloon, Shops (that need business owners), A railroad (soon fully operational), hot air balloon rides, boating on the lake, swimming in the lake, Farms, Ranches, Native American Settlements, Little Houses on the Prairie and badlands that are gorgeous, waterfalls, rivers and plenty of trails to ride horses on. But, it's all mid 19th century aka the 1800's so no cars, no busses, no factories, just good, clean, fun living. Take a chance, step back in time, and enjoy a life where you can do things with your own hands and nobody has electronics. One of my older builds from the former grid though I've made some adjustments and added a couple things and now it's ready for you to give it a home in your beautiful region. This fine church comes with a few decorations, working doors and pews with sits. It is C/M/T though some of the mesh parts may not be agreeable to retexture. I hope you will enjoy it as it would be a gorgeous place for a wedding, baptism, Sunday service, or even a comforting place to hold a memorial service. We had an awesome visit from the HG Safari group on Wednesday, September 20th and it went beautifully. Though we didn't get to share everything in the region, that leaves room to return and see the rest of this beautiful and amazing region. The animals had a blast, or so they said, seeing all of those humans in their natural surroundings and a few even looked pretty tasty to them. We all hope to see you again in return visits to see and learn more about conserving and preserving our beautiful world full of incredibly amazing wildlife. Our newest creation on the grid, the Pineview Townhouse. It has a garage, kitchen, living room on the first floor and Den/Study, bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor and a deck on the 2nd floor as well, bay door and window entrance with the same on the 2nd floor. The windows are 3/D not flat texture and there is a lot of nice detail and all only 147 Li. It is full perm copy, modify, transfer though the mesh may make modifying, other than texture, a bit difficult. It is free and waiting to grace your region as a beautiful manor or townhouse. Let this little cutie grace your landscape with vibrant but gentle colors. The flax plant with it's beautiful little flower will be the "star" of your garden, sidewalk, outdoor planter or vase. This is just one of the many beautiful sights to see at the Wildlife Preserve called Peaceful Enclave located on the Lioness Den region of our grid. Glow worms are such a beautiful sight to see in their dark caves and this little cave is no exception to that rule. Stop in and tour the region, enjoy the animals and the landscape, there is just so much to see and you can tour on foot, on a horse or use one of our many vehicles available. The kids are back to school, Labor Day is upon us, soon it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years....so once again thoughts of our favorite holidays are upon us, of wonderful family celebrations and sharing time, laughs and love. My latest build can be found at our Mall, available to any and all who might enjoy an English Manor House, or at least my idea of one. Inspired by some photographs of "Jolly Old England", "Devon, Plymouth England" and a few of the other grids around in Open Sim. If I have a region listed "no fly" it is for a reason, mostly because if you fly in those regions you will miss the beauty of the hard work that was done to make it worth visiting in the first place. I know everybody likes to get around fast and if a region owner makes their land that you can fly over it that's all well and good, but if they have it set to no fly, why not respect that. I watched someone arrive, wait a moment, then they were flying which meant they had to use the command to allow them to override my settings and that, no matter how you cut it, is disrespectful and rude. So from now on, if I am on and I catch you flying in my no fly regions you will be banned, not because you flew but because you disrespected my settings and overrode them. I really don't mean to be a b**ch about things but this kind of blatant disrespect really gives me the red a**. Further when I spoke to this person they just hovered above me for a while then left without answering, again, very rude and disrespectful. Truth is, if you ask me nicely I would probably let you fly, and I also have teleporters out for fast travel through the region. Just don't use the command to override the settings I have. Thank you. Our latest arrival at the Wildlife Preserve are some wild Namib Horses. These horses are believed to be the offspring of German Cavalry, and were possibly abandoned after world war one. They are hearty and athletic and generally fare well until drought season.. I invite you to visit the Game Preserve and travel the entire region to see many of the animals in their natural habitats. There is more to the preserve than the restaurant and museum at the arrival point. If you love to just take a walk in a peaceful region and see the animals, then you will enjoy this. I'm reading a lot of whining about "banning" oh how dare they?? ::gasp:: Listen, sweetheart, people have the right to ban whomever they wish for whatever reason they wish whether we like it or not - their grid or region, their rules their choice. I think it's a bit extreme, however, I have on occasions for personal reasons banned certain individuals because they have done their best to destroy my work or reputation, and we all know that people are generally inclined to believe the bad stories about someone rather than the good. I do not, as a rule, ban anybody who doesn't truly have it coming or who has not "requested" that I ban them, which has happened because I would not run my grid they way they wanted me to. I'd like to believe that everyone in open sim is adult, however that's a little like believing ice won't melt over a fire. I have met very few people in open sim that I dislike and then it is not the person I dislike so much as what they have done or said, but they are not banned nor will they be unless they earn it. I'm not going to name names and point fingers as that is "high school kid" stuff done by immature tattle tales who will go out of their way to make other's look bad...now days, I think they call them "Karens". So why don't we all just put on our "grown up" pants and panties and act like adults? Build, roleplay, dance, sing, create, design and develop and quit bitching about stuff that doesn't mean a hill of beans in the long run because the truth is, nobody cares if you've been banned. I do my best not to give anyone a reason to ban me but if you feel it's necessary for your own sanity, then by all means...have at it, I assure you it will not diminish me to the people who matter. You see the people who matter won't mind and the people who mind.....don't matter. Have a lovely day.

The newest addition to our Mall is being installed...the Le Beau Retrouvè Art Gallery which is designed and built by our very own Star Ravenhurst! All of our art displays including sculptures, paintings, photography will be overseen by Star. More to come when it's completed and open for visiting!

Building For Beginners - Classes for our Grid members and those who join the building group, are every Sunday (except holidays) at 3:30pm Pacific (grid) time. These classes are offered in the hopes of encouraging people to create their own content for their regions. There is so much creativity in Open Sim, so let's bring it to the surface. See ya there!

As we approach Memorial Day, I would like to offer to you, the chance for a personalized remembrance of your loved one in the form of one of our beautiful memorials which will be placed in our Haven of Memories for you to visit any time you wish. There is no charge for these memorials, and you receive your own copy of it which will be full perm for you.
