Globally, a child’s risk of death is highest during the first 28 days of life or the neonatal period. One third of these neonatal deaths occur on the first day alone, and three quarters in the first week. The Virtual Essential Newborn Care (vENC) application enables the practice in newborn resuscitation and essential newborn care and is based on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recently released Essential Newborn Care Course. These virtual simulations were developed to provide low-dose, high-frequency
