Where Is The Damned Taxi?
I often get an event notice from a group I'm a member of, and it inevitably gives the event link, with the comment "Here's your taxi." First of all, I never get a taxi. A link is not a taxi. Where is the damned taxi? At the very least they can put a taxi at the landing zone to make it look like I got there by taxi.

And don't get me started about VIP group tags. All I'll say is that if everyone is a VIP, no one is a VIP. If I really was a VIP, they would actually send me the taxi!

Speaking of which, I have a taxi in the Xinashi Car Bar Treehouse. It has a wine bar in the trunk. Open bar for all VIP members! (joking). Here is your...oh, never mind. Just click the link.

Do you want a region on your grid that is part of the CopyKat Collective? Of course you do! There are many places we could rent a region. But we are looking for someone to subsidize the effort to preserve the legacy and grow the future of what was the #2 traffic grid in OS.

The other day I walked past a fitness place named The Beast. That makes sense. They are going to pump you up into some kind of muscle-bound monster. What didn't make sense was their logo. It was...a unicorn. Ah yes, who doesn't associate unicorns with buffed beasts? Why, when I was a child, my favorite movie was "Beauty and the Unicorn." Or something. In any case, I made this outfit. It's got horns. Wear it and prowl around, searching for what? Unicorns?

When I think of Rudi and Nasti the first memories I have of them have always been incredibly supportive and encouraging from the moment I met them. With the news of Rudi's passing, I felt an immediate loss to our community, I cannot imagine how difficult this is for Nasti. It is with sincere condolences to Nasti and the family, I created a pendant in his memory. For those that were touched by Rudi and his kind spirit, this is for you to remember that spirit.

When I meet an AV that looks like a dragon, I always ask them to voice verify. They have to literally melt my speakers for me to believe they are as they present themselves to be. I've never had that happen - which, truthfully, is disappointing. I mean, who would not want to meet an actual dragon?

Even if it doesn't melt your speakers, in-world voice can present a problem. Some people don't seem to understand that Open Sim is not a dating site. It is not a hook-up site. And it can be more than a costume party chat site. At it's best, OS is an immersive world for role-play. And most people don't have the voice and/or the acting ability for the role they are playing. At best, in-world voice is a distraction. At worse, it can make it impossible to deeply and actively engage.

In truth, our avatar is but a pixel puppet. For some reason there can be an extraordinary interest, by some, in who exactly is pulling the strings. I just treat people as they present themselves in-world. Anything else ruins the show many of us take a part in creating.

It's the butt, right?
I'm wearing shorts named "Look At Me". And what, exactly, are people going to be looking at? The butt, right? A great alternative to vivox is mumble. It's changed a lot since the mumble-whisper project for opensim back in 2010. I run a mumble server right here at my house, and anyone can connect to it and try it out. On windows just download the mumble client https://dl.mumble.info/latest/snapshot/client-windows-x64 or on apple mac download this client https://dl.mumble.info/latest/snapshot/client-macos-x64
Mumble also has clients in most linux package managers already ready to go. Mumble has super high voice quality and it's totally private. I've already used it at my grid with several people and the quality was amazing. Plus the fact the mumble server runs on a small raspberry pi at my home with zero problems. If you wish to connect to it, just use cyberdatastorm.com as the server address and you can try it out on port 64738. There are also mumble 'servers' for windows, mac os, and linux. So you can run it on something besides a raspberry pi, and have your completely secure and private own voice server. I understand a lot of people worry about vivox listening in to their private conversations. ok. Here's an alternative. What's great about it is you can play opensim with mumble in the background so it doesn't affect the game play at all, AND it's great voice quality.

The central spot for the sim environment of interstellART_exhibitions, introduces sometimes collaborative projects of independent artists on the basis of a specific topic and serves sometimes as a creative area for the sim-variations of Asmita Duranjaya.
In the moment the sim basis shows on its 9 regions the exhibition "MnemoScapes - Forget Me Not".
Asmita explains: "MnemoScapes try to visualize parts of my composite personality, with memories of the past mixed with imaginations and reflections. It is ME, what you see there on each of the 9 regions: DigiScape, LonerScape, CityScape, PalmScape, DesertScape, WinterScape, FractalScape, ForestScape and the CentralScape with my musical background related to Early Music of the Renaissance and the Middles Ages. In correspondence to my own 3D-installations I found a similar intention in the work of 8 other female artists, who work in 2D. They are presented with a link to infos about the person and 3 examples of their work on an easel-display in the CenterScape." There is a hud available with elaborated information on each of the 9 Scapes and with a tp to every region of interstellART_exhibitions plus interStellART. In a sky-globe there are more exhibitions of 7 active artists in OS-Grid: Caro Fayray, Shenn Tao, Victoria Logan, Cherry Manga, Azi Az, Sujeewa Kumari, lalie Sorbet. All those areas are accessible with the hud.

Close to both Tokyo and Mount Fuji the small town of Hakone holds something of a revelation. However, unless you are from Japan, you may well not have heard of it. The town plays host to a large open air museum where the works of many famous artists are held - outdoors. It balances art and nature in harmony. This is the set I am currently working on. I have the earrings in the store in Sapphire and Turquoise. I am still working on getting the choker in, playing with the convex hull, the earrings uploaded just fine, but the choker is being a bit tricky lol.

In just a few short very busy days we have really developed this beautiful area, adding water below and attaching Aspen Homesites to the continent. Also, to the east I have added a sandbox for Bountiful Members only. I started putting in some street signs as the roads are very complex. There is a large freeway as you can see running West-East. The Waterways have either raised bridges, or drawbridges. There are tons of embankments and other details. yesterday I added some sims to the east that are named after Fallout 4 place names. Maybe we will do a RP on that area ... we shall see. Come visit, and come get a free parcel. PARCELS ARE FREE TO ALL IN THE CONTINENT NOW. Please follow the few rules: be nice, build only in theme of the region, no ban lines, no terraforming. Thats it!
