Hello Jupiter. Thank you so much for that very detailed and informative reply. Nautilus inherited the system from Tropicana because they were once part of it and then decided to go their own way so essentially it is the same procedure. You are correct of course. It is wise to accept avatars from the grid the land or properties are on. We have a few exceptions but in the main our tenants are almost all from the OSgrid.
We have pretty much reached the limit now with the properties and land that we offer. Our Estate Office had to be expanded recently and we now have around 180 rentals of various shapes and sizes. There comes a point when we need to start looking at who is actually making use of their homes and land and who is not.
It would be far more rewarding for all concerned if people actually took part in community events and used the central areas as meeting points but sadly everyone is bouncing around looking for people rather than utilising existing welcome areas and central points on the grids that they belong to. People then complain that no one is around and that they are bored. You just can't win.
I think we are gradually seeing a reduction in grids and regions offering rentals and especially large plots with high prims. There are still some left but they can be overcrowded and laggy. The only sure way to guarantee that you get the land and environment that you want without relying on anyone else is to bite the bullet and rent a region. With many being offered at starter prices of $5 upwards or via using the self install on windows software from Outworldz which is free, there are plenty of alternatives to consider. That being said, who wants to sit alone on their region begging people to visit them? There are already more regions than active users on any given day.
