In addition to creating things in Opensim, my other passion is a series of novels I'm working on. Here is an excerpt from one of those books titled Eos Renascent:

"And which one is that?" Kaia asked, looking into her glowing yet serene face.

"The moment of Renascence, when you remember and time vanishes, with all that it created.”

Kaia looked away, disturbed. “I thought you were here to help me prevent that from happening.”

“That is not my purpose, for that moment is inevitable and it is not within my power to prevent it. You can only hold it at bay and only for so long. The entire universe yearns for its coming and collectively holds its breath in anticipation.”

“Then why am I here? I don’t understand,” Kaia asked, holding her face in her hands.

“Nothing is required of you but your acceptance,” she replied, stroking Kaia’s long, white hair.

“But I love them,” she sobbed, “I love them all!”

“Then cherish those present moments and the love held within them, for only Love transcends time,” she answered quietly, holding Kaia close. “You cannot understand how much you are loved, for there is no parallel in your experience to help you understand it. There is nothing on Eos to compare it to, or that even faintly resembles it. Every act of love on your part will live on, and not one little smile you gave or willingness to overlook even the tiniest mistake will be lost to you."

So now we've recently had quite some drama about a crossplayer. Someone who uses at least one avatar whose gender isn't his own.

Being tricked into virtual sex and then ghosted if you were hoping for something permanent is one thing. The sudden discovery of avatars who are NOT the virtual representations of real-life people but completely unrelated to their users is another thing.

The biggest issue seems to be avatars with genders different from their users'. Or rather, people not knowing that this smouldering hot lady is a GIRL (Guy In Real Life). From this, demands arose that all cross-playing avatars shall inform people that they're cross-playing avatars. Some may even demand a total ban on cross-playing.

On the other hand, there are users whose avatars aren't them, and who want to keep their real lives as secret as possible. They also don't want to know anything about the users behind other avatars, especially not without asking first. OpenSim is a role-play to them, and real life breaks immersion.

Now, the question is: What'd be the best practice then?

Keeping it secret may end up in awkward situations with avatars that are virtual representations of their real-life users instead of fictional role-play characters. Blurting it out without being asked (female avatar arriving at a party: "Hi, I'm a cishet guy in real life!") leaves a lot of people with TMI (Too Much Information).

But there actually is a standard place for real-life information. And your real-life gender is exactly that, real-life information. That place is in your avatar profile.

No, not the "2nd life" page, the first page you see when you open your profile or someone else's. That page is exclusively for in-world information about your avatar.

The place for real-life information about you is on the "1st life" page. That and only that is also where a real-life photograph of you should go if you absolutely have to have one in our avatar profile. And that's the right place to tell people about your real-life gender.

A big advantage of this is that people who check your profile because they're interested in your avatar but not in your real life won't have real-life information about you slapped into their faces. The "1st life" page is not the first thing you see when looking at someone's profile.

Granted, this practice isn't perfect. There are people who find it inconvenient to have to navigate through a profile, and who demand all information they want to know be served to them on a silver platter, i.e. on the very first profile page. Others don't want to read profiles at all (or anything, in fact), they want male crossplayers with female avatars to tell them right away that they're guys in real life without themselves asking for it. The real-life information they want to know would be readily available to them, they just can't be bothered to look it up.

But I guess there are also people who don't want to see any real-life information in avatar profiles, who don't even want to accidentally stumble upon it by clicking on the wrong tab, because they don't want to know anything about the real-life people behind avatars, at least not more than necessary.

Stil, going this "official" way should be good enough for most people.

In just a few short very busy days we have really developed this beautiful area, adding water below and attaching Aspen Homesites to the continent. Also, to the east I have added a sandbox for Bountiful Members only. I started putting in some street signs as the roads are very complex. There is a large freeway as you can see running West-East. The Waterways have either raised bridges, or drawbridges. There are tons of embankments and other details. yesterday I added some sims to the east that are named after Fallout 4 place names. Maybe we will do a RP on that area ... we shall see. Come visit, and come get a free parcel. PARCELS ARE FREE TO ALL IN THE CONTINENT NOW. Please follow the few rules: be nice, build only in theme of the region, no ban lines, no terraforming. Thats it!

To visit the various exhibits at the Sky Harbor Museum of Flight there are numerous teleport signs. Please note that all you need to do is WALK INTO the sign to teleport. This is also stated in the hover text above each sign. You do not need to sit, touch, or do anything other than walk. I hope this clears up this minor issue expressed by some visitors. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have visited our museum.

A store for Ruth outfits i have put together using Linda Kellie, Damien Fate, Fleep grid layers and some Remake shoes. During war time and the depression there was a push for people to make do with what they had, reuse it or remake it. This store is based on that philosophy and is my Os version. When you copybot, import, and modify something from SL, you are a (most likely uninvited and unwelcome) contributor to something someone else created.

When you can provide proof you are the creator of, and not just a contributor to, an item in OS, then it can be said that you are a verified creator.

When you ask that your "creation" not be distributed in OS, it's fair to ask to see
1. Validation you are the creator or
2. Validation that you have permission to copy, modify and exclusively distribute something someone else created.

Unfortunately, there is no organized verification or certification process. (Is it even possible?)

Lacking this verification, simply claiming to be the creator of, or contributor to, an item gives you no rights over it.

Jupiter mentioned that i should share these pics of some ruth outfits i have been working on. The clothes I am using are from Linda Kellie and Damien Fate meshes. I have also borrowed shoes from Tarna Wells Savvy and the jeans are BOM layers. When i have a few outfits done i will put them out for any who want them.

Well, my friends from the Metaverse. I'm starting my long dreamed project. Escor starting to build my own grid. At first it will be hosted on a small server of my own. Over time, who knows, if I have a few additions to the project, we might be able to migrate to a bigger server.
The roleplay project that I intend to create is based on some things that I wrote, that I researched and that I came up with with a little creativity.
It is the cult of the Goddess Velathri, the one who gave the human race the knowledge of spiritual fulfillment through erotic practices. So it's an adult roleplay and that's what it's aimed at. More details, I will give you if you contact me.
I would like to count on people to help me in this construction.
