The Sakura are in bloom in Nara early this year! Lovely place for a stroll and to feed the bowing deer.

Surfing can be traced as the source of skateboarding. Some surfers had the idea to transfer the feeling of riding waves onto the streets to defy times of day with a gentle swell. Not without any reason these dudes were called β€œasphalt surfers”. At two spots in the world a kind of a skateboard was developed in the early 1950s: California and Hawaii. By 1963 the first skate contest took place at Hermosa Beach, California.

Tony Hawk got his first sponsor, Dogtown skateboards at the age of 12. Two years later, he became a professional skateboarder. Hawk was considered one of the top skateboarders in the world by the time he was 16 years old. His ability to perform impressive stunts fueled Hawk's popularity including the "900" rotating 900 degrees β€”about two and a half turnsβ€” in mid-air. Hawk was the first to successfully complete this move on the Half-pipe at the 1999 eXtreme Games.

Why not come down to The Factory Half-pipe and try and pull off this legendary trick.
