Well, considering my home place, I feel hesitating about having strangers there, if not invited by me.
Group and banlines could do the trick I guess. But I think we'll have to refine group's system. Maybe by creating a Friends-residents group for "real" friends resident, who can access everywhere ? Or keeping the actual Friends group for visitors, plus individual home's groups to limit access locally ? I used that already and found it was a good solution .

This is similar to how HD was set up.......could a person drop in there....yes......did they.....rarely. I do not favor ban lines for every parcel we have, but I am considering all options. I am not as bothered having ban lines on a border as all over in the middle of a region. Hidden Dreams did not use ban lines , and so I am a little confused on this subject.

I was not talking about HD, which was totally different to me than Friends grid .
If you dont like banlines (I am not a fan neither), we at least will have to modify groups to avoid non resident to have too much rights on our home's place.

so you make the reggie group......and sell your land to the reggie group. Only people in Reggie group can rezz there. Not that complicated.

I don't know exactly what the beacons might entail. But, for now, I personally don't feel the need for visitors to my area, especially because it's not finished at all. Later on, I might find some interest in it but I'm not even really sure...

Hi Safine and all the others,
to give you some news about what I'm doing on friends-grid these days, it will be short : almost nothing ! I only built a draft for a dance place ...
RL was almost full these last weeks: work, family and I'm also concerned about what's going on in France (maybe you've heard about the strikes and how things are getting tougher now). Well, I can say that I am busy *and* well.
I'm taking the time to come online and meet those who are too, to say hello and chat a bit. But nothing more than that.
Hopefully things will change soon and/or I'll be in a more *creative* mood.

No…..you can use avi from wherever you want.
One thing I will mention, with the iar transfer that we did on me…….I did not have to make new body, I logged in and was all set up. I will need to save outfits again, but that is gradual.
I have mixed feelings about the mandatory new account subject and I know most places require that for land or house.
I have decided to let individuals make that decision.
