All - Earthquake in Marrakesh Update 10/09/23

We have moved from our badly damaged home in Marrakesh to the capital Rabat - our power/broadband/telephone is very patchy but I have managed to make contact with Alex (Princess Alex), who will run the ILU side of things with Bobbi Fox, while we assess damage and living arrangements for the family.

Its just been announced over 2000 deaths and hundreds of injured - one close friend hasnt made it but he pulled his parents out of their wrecked family home.

Please pray for us and all those affected by this disaster.

Hello Beautiful friends.... our old region is coming to an end and we will be re-birthed soon. In light of that, we are thinking about an end of region party .... I think it gets people interested in what we have here when they see people doing things.

The underwater world at friends -grid has been under construction...and will be built in 3-4 separate phases. Phase 1 (the coral reef) is now open and ready for visitors. This is my attempt to share what I have seen in my travels.

It is hard to describe being in the middle of 100,000 fish and bright corals.....but I hope this will help you experience a special part of my life. Phase 2 will be mermaid area........but.....keep in mind...mermaids can swim anywhere and enjoy the reef.

The reef includes two ship wrecks, two massive groupings of Pillar corals that you can walk through (yes....I have been in coral like these that was 75’ tall). Also on the reef: Sharks, rays, turtle, hermit crabs, jelly fish and approximately 50 different types of coral. Serina provided some custom made corals for this project which was a huge help! There is a lot to see.....take your time and enjoy!

I will be sending all an updated teleport board with this added today.

Our friends from the ILU (Iloveyou) grid have had problems recently ... but are trying to get back to the OS world . If you are free, and want to , please come Saturday at 12noon grid time. for a Party , to welcome them back to the grid ! I wouldn't normally advertise other grids on this platform - but the ILU folks are our friends and i respect a friend of ours... Come if you can ....We are a Friends Army !

After much thought, I have a rough layout on the new area. Some regions may move slightly, but this is the plan. The new grid’s name is friends-grid

I have decided I wanted to give the 4 of you a special present…..but I really do not want to fight or argue.

This is the amount of land I am getting whether you accept your gift or not.

The next thing I want to mention is I believe and support creativity……but sometimes creativity is limited by the size of your canvas. Imagine being able to put up mountains that are 1-2 sims big…..or a lake that is 4 sims! Imagine being able to drive in high gear! These things are stupid impossible unless you have a decent size canvas.

Well, December and Christmas was pretty rough with all that happened with Hidden Dreams. You four stayed with me and have been active and involved. For that, I thank you!

Because of this, I am sending your Christmas a little early. You each will have a 4x4 to build, create, experiment, bulldoze and start over! I have put tentative names and themes on the map.

Before anyone says “omg, I cannot ever work with that much”, I want you to pause…..and realize what you could do:

F1 tracks for me to beat Pin’s ass

A fantasy area involving mountains and lakes without space issues

Mad max driving like a bat out of hell over the outback

Maybe a sci fi landscape

The bottom line…..you all have some serious canvas to be creative. Realize also that you may want water around or on your region, that can take up space. Use graph paper and plan it out.

Now, I also want to point out something. We are not on a time schedule….. we are not trying to have this done by May 1. In my opinion, this is probably 12 months, some areas earlier, some later. You may want to plan for two months, and you might build on day 1. I don’t care.

If anyone is worried about me not having space, I have about 82 sims to work on…..that should keep me busy for a few days.

Also, I do own 5-10 raw terrain files (islands). If interested, ask and I can show you some examples and you can decide if it would help.

I want to support creativity!

My sincerest apologies for having disappeared for a little while. I was sorting out a few things in RL and in the middle of that picked up a viral infection that took a lot out of me.

I am slowly getting back into shape but a few things have changed for me personally which means I am not sure how it will affect my time at Friends, but I will start being around!

Mistress and I have had a good chat this evening and I will getting back on the grid more often.

My poor communication with Mistress will not be recurring and I would like to use this opportunity to publicly apologise for causing Her distress and upset. I thought I was doing the right thing by not burdening Her with my problems, but now see that was not the right thing to do.

If I have upset or offended anyone else with my absence I also apologise to you.

It has been a difficult time for me but I should have not let my problems affect others.
