We had an awesome visit from the HG Safari group on Wednesday, September 20th and it went beautifully. Though we didn't get to share everything in the region, that leaves room to return and see the rest of this beautiful and amazing region. The animals had a blast, or so they said, seeing all of those humans in their natural surroundings and a few even looked pretty tasty to them. We all hope to see you again in return visits to see and learn more about conserving and preserving our beautiful world full of incredibly amazing wildlife. Thanks for coming, and please come again soon!

Our newest creation on the grid, the Pineview Townhouse. It has a garage, kitchen, living room on the first floor and Den/Study, bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor and a deck on the 2nd floor as well, bay door and window entrance with the same on the 2nd floor. The windows are 3/D not flat texture and there is a lot of nice detail and all only 147 Li. It is full perm copy, modify, transfer though the mesh may make modifying, other than texture, a bit difficult. It is free and waiting to grace your region as a beautiful manor or townhouse. They are out and about, The Snow Family!! Mr., Mrs., Little Johnny and Little Missy and Pup and Kitten Snow will all make a wonderful and adorable addition to your holiday decor. Let this little cutie grace your landscape with vibrant but gentle colors. The flax plant with it's beautiful little flower will be the "star" of your garden, sidewalk, outdoor planter or vase. You'll find it exclusively at the Create A Scene Garden Center in the Star Jinn Palisade Mall. There is so much to see there and so many beautiful things. This is just one of the many beautiful sights to see at the Wildlife Preserve called Peaceful Enclave located on the Lioness Den region of our grid. Glow worms are such a beautiful sight to see in their dark caves and this little cave is no exception to that rule. Stop in and tour the region, enjoy the animals and the landscape, there is just so much to see and you can tour on foot, on a horse or use one of our many vehicles available. The kids are back to school, Labor Day is upon us, soon it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years....so once again thoughts of our favorite holidays are upon us, of wonderful family celebrations and sharing time, laughs and love. So we've designed some items for you to decorate your region with for the holidays. Stop by our Holidays & Seasons shop, the TP is located on the large TP board. We'll be adding more Autumn and Harvest things you can use for halloween and Thanksgiving and we've added some Christmas items. It isn't much but it's original builds. My latest build can be found at our Mall, available to any and all who might enjoy an English Manor House, or at least my idea of one. Inspired by some photographs of "Jolly Old England", "Devon, Plymouth England" and a few of the other grids around in Open Sim. This build is partial mesh so modifying it might be a bit of a challenge, otherwise it's fully copy, modify, transfer and be happy. Blessings and much love, Lavia

The Genesis Roleplay Grid is proud to have Star as part of our family. Star will be accepting artwork from other artists who wish to display their talent in her gallery, and we will see to it that the artwork is advertised and displayed in a professional manner. If I have a region listed "no fly" it is for a reason, mostly because if you fly in those regions you will miss the beauty of the hard work that was done to make it worth visiting in the first place. I know everybody likes to get around fast and if a region owner makes their land that you can fly over it that's all well and good, but if they have it set to no fly, why not respect that. I watched someone arrive, wait a moment, then they were flying which meant they had to use the command to allow them to override my settings and that, no matter how you cut it, is disrespectful and rude. So from now on, if I am on and I catch you flying in my no fly regions you will be banned, not because you flew but because you disrespected my settings and overrode them. I really don't mean to be a b**ch about things but this kind of blatant disrespect really gives me the red a**. Further when I spoke to this person they just hovered above me for a while then left without answering, again, very rude and disrespectful. Truth is, if you ask me nicely I would probably let you fly, and I also have teleporters out for fast travel through the region. Just don't use the command to override the settings I have. Thank you. Our latest arrival at the Wildlife Preserve are some wild Namib Horses. These horses are believed to be the offspring of German Cavalry, and were possibly abandoned after world war one. They are hearty and athletic and generally fare well until drought season.. I invite you to visit the Game Preserve and travel the entire region to see many of the animals in their natural habitats. There is more to the preserve than the restaurant and museum at the arrival point. If you love to just take a walk in a peaceful region and see the animals, then you will enjoy this. I'm reading a lot of whining about "banning" oh how dare they?? ::gasp:: Listen, sweetheart, people have the right to ban whomever they wish for whatever reason they wish whether we like it or not - their grid or region, their rules their choice. I think it's a bit extreme, however, I have on occasions for personal reasons banned certain individuals because they have done their best to destroy my work or reputation, and we all know that people are generally inclined to believe the bad stories about someone rather than the good. I do not, as a rule, ban anybody who doesn't truly have it coming or who has not "requested" that I ban them, which has happened because I would not run my grid they way they wanted me to. I'd like to believe that everyone in open sim is adult, however that's a little like believing ice won't melt over a fire. I have met very few people in open sim that I dislike and then it is not the person I dislike so much as what they have done or said, but they are not banned nor will they be unless they earn it. I'm not going to name names and point fingers as that is "high school kid" stuff done by immature tattle tales who will go out of their way to make other's look bad...now days, I think they call them "Karens". So why don't we all just put on our "grown up" pants and panties and act like adults? Build, roleplay, dance, sing, create, design and develop and quit bitching about stuff that doesn't mean a hill of beans in the long run because the truth is, nobody cares if you've been banned. I do my best not to give anyone a reason to ban me but if you feel it's necessary for your own sanity, then by all means...have at it, I assure you it will not diminish me to the people who matter. You see the people who matter won't mind and the people who mind.....don't matter. Have a lovely day.

The newest addition to our Mall is being installed...the Le Beau Retrouvè Art Gallery which is designed and built by our very own Star Ravenhurst! All of our art displays including sculptures, paintings, photography will be overseen by Star. More to come when it's completed and open for visiting!

Building For Beginners - Classes for our Grid members and those who join the building group, are every Sunday (except holidays) at 3:30pm Pacific (grid) time. These classes are offered in the hopes of encouraging people to create their own content for their regions. There is so much creativity in Open Sim, so let's bring it to the surface. See ya there!

As we approach Memorial Day, I would like to offer to you, the chance for a personalized remembrance of your loved one in the form of one of our beautiful memorials which will be placed in our Haven of Memories for you to visit any time you wish. There is no charge for these memorials, and you receive your own copy of it which will be full perm for you. We had an absolutely AWESOME grand opening thanks to all of our friends who turned out and celebrated with us!! Okay finally we're back up and working for however long it lasts LOL. The lay out is different but I honestly think it is aesthetically comforting. This memorial is for little "Gracie". If you want to shed a few tears while you're building something, just do a memorial for a baby. This precious little buddy was just a year old plus a few days, when she crossed over and her Grandmother asked me to do a memorial for her. This was not an avatar, this was a real life granddaughter and I can't begin to imagine the depth of the loss felt by the family. I hope this helps bring them some comfort and peace. A friend visited the Haven of Memories and in our discussion she said she missed her fur baby. I immediately thought it would be a good thing to offer a place for folks to remember their fur babies that have crossed the rainbow bridge. So Haven of Memories now has a "Pet Memorial Section" to pay tribute to our beloved furry, feathered and even scaled babies. Well things are pretty much back to normal at the Haven and it's open to anybody who would like to visit there. Check out our grid, the Genesis Role Play Grid. We offer structured role play at it's finest and as a role player you can take on multiple characters as you show you can handle it. The story line is already defined, so a part in it is much like being cast in a movie and our director is Metal Tango. We've recently relaxed the Plymouth Crucible so people can visit and see what the story and RP is all about. I can tell you there is nothing I like more than a long running story line that has a good story to tell. It includes vampires, witches, werewolves and more but not in any traditional sense and nobody is a "superhero", nobody is "indestructible" - isn't that a neat idea, villains and heroes with weaknesses and faults. Come to the Plymouth Crucible and check it out but, be aware there is a maze you must get through to get to the town and it's tricky, one wrong answer and...... " grid.genesis-roleplay.org:8002:Plymouth Crucible " be a part of a powerful growing story line.

Our beautiful Star Jinn Palisade Mall! It's not got as much as we'd like, but very nearly all of what you see on display are our original builds created with the open sim community in mind. Come and visit and explore a mall with a unique touch and design - all outdoor except the specialty shops. Our featured shops are GramZ's Country Creations, Star Ravenhurst Designs (She has a specialty shop and large section of buildings that are a must see), Fall's For You specialty shop of unique avatars, youth avatars and clothing, cleaned up and presented by our own Dusty Falls. Buildings that are "Thor" built and much more. It's best to explore the entire mall (region) rather than just stand at the welcome point and cam. My own little shop in the Star Jinn Palisade Mall features a full kitchen set with working dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, sink with water off and on. The fridge gives glasses of cold water though I may need to upgrade the script so it animates the avatar to drink the water.... :D. You'll find complete living room suits, lamps and even a complete set of dishes for on the dinner table. The Dinette set chairs have sits though no animation to eat, I'm sure eventually I'll get around to that.
