18th century Acadia - an ongoing project :)
I visited my family's homeland last week on the Chaleur Bay in New Brunswick, Canada. I have been back for a week now, and I feel like my life is not even real anymore. It is burned into my DNA. I belong there!
Saint Anne du Boucage Sanctuary in Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada. This is a replica of the real one that I visited last week. My 6th-great-grandfather, Alexis Landry, built it in 1791. It is still open to the public, and thousands of people make pilgrimages there to light a candle or pray.
