I am glad it went well. I wanted to come but was unable to due to a scheduling conflict. I hope I can come the next time, tho nothing is as special as an opening. Indigo is a fabulous DJ so I am sure it was a lot of fun. Congratulations on your grand opening. Congratulations to the lucky winner.

Why are we arguing over a tree that has lost its leaves lying in the snow? :D It will make great firewood!

Serves it right for lying! Honesty is the best policy. Knock on wood.

Thank you, Kimm. The art for the upcoming exhibit is still coming in, but what is there so far and what I know is coming, we are all in for a sweet treat when the show opens. I am simply blown away at the amazing talent in Open Sim. The theme of this exhibit gives everyone the freedom to create anything they can dream up...there are no limits to what we can create. Imagine anything. Imagine everything.

When I got my little space, I had 2 regions. I thought maybe I would build a castle and that would represent Land Of Xzar pretty well. Then I had to go get myself a whole grid! Now I don't know what to do and I have been so busy with my projects. It is getting real! 6 months! I have always worked well under pressure...hope I can this time. I am trying not to panic! :)

I'm trying not to panic myself, but the 6 months before is always the most fun. More people, energy, ideas. I have been part of other fests the last few years and have met some of the most wonderful people and has changed my entire in-world experience having had met so many like-minded people that I call friends now.

I am so excited for you!! What is the dress code?
The usual dress code would be formal, but for the Opening I allow casual :)

Formal works for me! I don't know why I ask because I wear what I want anyway. :) Well...I prefer to go along with a theme, though, if there is one. I still wear what I want. :D

I am hoping my friend Mack can do this. He is from my grid and loves this sort of thing. This is awesome Marlon!

I have thought about doing this rather than a stream. I experimented with media and connected to Nico's site for the music and that worked, but looping it, I am not so sure about. The exhibit is on a 2x2 region connected to the gallery region, so it is large. One possibility to counter the range is possibly putting out multiples maybe? Your solution sounds like a very good option and something I would like to experiment with. Thank you.

I was introduced to a guy the other day who is supposed to help me set up streaming for the gallery/grid. Hopefully soon. I got a Shoutcast account and I downloaded Butt, and I am confused about how to make it all work. That is what I need help with, making sense of it all. I am trying Nico. This exhibit opens on Sept 29 and will be up for three months.

No stress. We will get it all worked out, one way or another. I put out the call for help so we can have a few options available.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I enjoyed our visit as well. Getting to know you has been a treasure and I appreciate your friendship and support. Again, thank you for the sculpture. I forgot to mention that the sculpture is also dedicated to our wonderful community. What a beautiful addition to the gallery as well as the community. Beautiful work!

Luna if it fits within the theme, then yes. Inworld photography and art creation are strongly supported by the gallery. One of our previous artist's work consisted mostly of her builds photographed artistically. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

You must visit! You will love the house. At Virunga you can dance with the Bantu tribe too!! The elephants, are so realistic it all is, Deb and Fred are phenomenal creators.

Elephants are one of my favorite creatures. I get tears in my eyes when I am lucky enough to encounter them. I once was able to ride one for $5 at Scarborough Fair a few years ago and I cried and I thanked her for letting me ride her. I felt sad for doing it though. Once I was on her, it seemed wrong somehow. They explained that the rides helped to feed her and take care of her and she was rescued from a bad situation. But then I thought, is this any better when she is forced to give people rides all day, especially screaming to children? She is the perfect example of how some animals have to work for their upkeep, unlike my spoiled cats.
Anyway... I want to come visit soon. I am sure I will love it. You are an amazing creator too!

Thank you Star ๐Ÿ’—I have seen a video where a baby elephant was stuck in a hole with water, almost the same size as the baby, the mother was frantic on the side trying with her trunk to free the baby, then locals were able to free that baby, it was the most touching video, but it made me cry thinking please do not lose that baby phant ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I am having the same issues with Flicker. I got an email that they deleted my account and I have stuff on there for the past twenty years!
I have an offer for you to consider. I too have been documenting people for their contributions to the Open Sim Community. So far,I have only been doing women, and I still have more to get photos of as this is an ongoing project Eventually I intend to get everyone I can in OS hung on the gallery walls. Since your project is closely related to mine, I am offering to host your work at the gallery as a permanent exhibit. The permanent exhibits will be hosted in a building separate from the gallery as the main gallery is for revolving, current exhibits. I have been looking for help for this project, and I would love to work with you on this endeavor if it interests you. Documenting our journey in Open Sim is an important project close to my heart. You will retain ownership unless a glitch happens in OS, in which case, we fix it) and you will become an integral part of the gallery family. Thank you for doing this important project and I hope you will reach out to me and we will discuss all the details. Of course, this is free...the gallery will always be free for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for this proposal, it is interesting and yes, I had the idea of โ€‹โ€‹making a gallery in the world but I gave up because another person had done this project. The problem is also the lack of time, I chose Flickr because the photos are large and well exposed and easy to consult for everyone without having to move. Getting people moving on Opensim is a sinecure :)
As well as the idea for Flickr is to make an album per person and to include several photos of the same person in what it can be different as well as to make a link with OSW. Your project is even larger and requires time, that is what I miss the most.
However, I agree to discuss it because indeed our ideas come together in essence. As I take pictures of others, I am responsible for asking their opinion for any other exhibition than in Flickr, this too is to be put in place for the good and clarity of the present and/or future project, so I am open to the idea of โ€‹โ€‹discussing it and I thank you for offering it to me. I will try to reach you online in the world soon.
