I am about 20% into it. I am OCR'ing the pages, translating them with google, and pasting the english text to a file.. reading it as I go. So far the people in the book sound like my family. French despair and depression peppered with raunchy humor and fart jokes. lol

AhAh, I doubt that Google will be able to translate it. Truly. Google will not be able to digest the dialect.

Just one example of words that you can find in the roman of R. Brun. Yenche : the orthographe is an attempt to translate what is said phonetically. It means : «rien que », depending of context it could be translated in English by « only that » or simply « only »

I think demanding any kind of exceptional moral purity would be beyond the scope of this project. This would be distributing single notecards, not all of the associated assets. The assets are already present on all of our grids, because we are connected to HG and our visitors (and residents) bring them.

And the original NPC's in our dance machines are loaded up with all kinds of copybot stuff too. Just really old copybot stuff.

I have been watching the Frontier series on Netflix. It is about Canada in the 1700's. My favorite character is Sokanon, and I think I have her look going on there. :)

The more I learn about my Mémère (grandmother) and her side of the family, the more I think Sokanon was an ancestor. :) She even looked like her, when she was younger.

My Mémère never talked about it, which is common for older people. There was (and still is) a lot of racism. I think that she was ashamed that she looked native. :( I did not know, so I did not see it then. I wish I could tell her she was beautiful and I am proud of her and our heritage.

Yes now I see what you mean, we are very much like that. The pioneers of opensim came with nothing. I had notes of permissions to use SL items, that had 20 or more SL creators who gave me permission but it cost on some license 15k what I could not bring in licensed I made from scratch my favorite piece was a qtip for my medical center. I have made so many simple but cool things.

I have accepted as a fact of life, that there is stuff from SL here. But things made here are special because love is put into it. I am learning to make RL wampum (shell) jewelry in RL. You can bang out wampum pieces with mass-produced, dyed glass beads in no time. But a REAL wampum bead from a shell .. every one is unique, special and has it's own life. It actualy CAME FROM LIFE! So obviously, if you receive a necklace made from glass beads. It is a $20 Amazon thing, one made by hand, with love, and tells a story, and is a thing beyond price. So that is a comparison I will make of SL things, and opensim made things. The things we make, even if others think it is "crap" or ugly, or whatever. It is something with life, that you put your love into. It is priceless and sacred.

I have to figure out the correct permissions too. I think the item needs to be locked, and I have to make sure it still works in that state. Otherwise the jar owner drags snapshots to it and it just changes the texture of the jar. haha

He complained about the metal shine, he wasn't rezzed at my store his avatar was gray not fully loaded and was judging quality ya cannot do that not fully rezzed that is an indication is you. After a few minutes he said oh now it is more shiny metal it needed time to load. He took four material packs and lots of jewelry :)

First mistake in the mansplaining is it is a circlet he was critiquing it as a tiara calling it a gothic gate,
yes the circlet which is different from a tiara both are beautiful headpieces, but they carry distinct vibes—tiaras exude elegance and sophistication, while circlets evoke history and mysticism. So my circlet being a gothic gate does evoke history and mysticism eh?
