Perhaps all of the DJs in OS are busy enough that they don't need to post here looking for gigs. Well, poop. And perhaps folks aren't looking at groups on OSW and haven't found us. If you know any DJs, busy or not, please encourage them to join and post when and if they are available.

DJs and Live Performers: Please introduce yourself. Tips:
• Be concise and to the point.
• Be authentic and real.
Some ideas for information to share:
• Your name.
• Tagline. (Mine is “I play the music you didn’t know you liked until you heard it).
• How long have you been a DJ/live performer (on-line and/or RL venues ).
• What genres or styles are your specialty?
• Describe your sound with words that engage. Paint a picture of the vibe and emotional flow of your music.
• Influences?
• Do you have a fan base? For example, the number of regulars that show up no matter what the venue, and/or the number of members in your group.
• Do you DJ/perform on a regular basic at any clubs? Where and when?
• The days of the week and times of the day you can be available.

I’m looking for a DJ for the Grand Opening event at my newest club, Under the Overpass. The build and décor at Under the Overpass reflect the fact that when people listen to music, they are most likely driving, cooking, bathing, or doing household chores. You can do all of that – drive, cook, etc, as well as dance at the club. Hell, host a dinner party if you like.
The theme of the event is “Dancing with Small Kitchen Appliances.” (You can pick some from a display at the club). Any daring DJ up to entertaining us while we do whatever we might be doing at the event, including dancing? Time and date of the event to be set when a DJ is found. Also, I’ve been very busy lately. Can someone do a load of my laundry at the club then?
I'm in the finishing stages of the build, but come have a look anytime.

Welcome to our first two members of the DJ and Club Connection group, Kashi Takeshi and Gentle Dragonheart. Gentle runs Club Oasis in Coral Cove on Friends Grid. Kashi has the "All That Jazz" Club on the Virtual Worlds Zone grid. I'm looking forward to more members with clubs, and DJs looking for gigs.

• Because the group is not for event promotion, dig?
• Tip: check out the talent at their club gigs before you try to book a DJ.
• It would be way cool if you post about a DJ you recommend, and why.
