If you already have a Hypergrid-capable avatar, you’re welcome on Moonlight.
While Moonlight does not currently offer avatar creation, residents from OSGrid, DigiWorldz, and other Hypergrid-enabled grids can hypergrid in and claim a home. We have a large number of available residences, including homes in the Moonlight Residential area (grid.dcwork.space:8002:Starlight West) and new builds on Partito Isles. There are a few new homes and bungalows on Partito Isles (grid.dcwork.space:8002:Partito Isles). To start exploring you can always drop into Moonlight's main welcome region: Moonlight Landing (grid.dcwork.space:8002:Moonlight Landing)
To get started:
Hypergrid into Moonlight using your existing avatar
Claim a home once you arrive
Create a landmark to your residence for easy return visits
One important thing to know:
OpenSim does not allow you to set your home location on a grid other than the one where your avatar is registered. This is a platform limitation, not a Moonlight restriction. A landmark works just as well for daily use.

Depends on which grid you're in, especially if you want to set home at your home because you have to do that in the grid in which your avatar is registered.
Some grids offer free parcels, sometimes practically permanently, sometimes for no more than a month, and then they expect you to rent a sim. In some grids, residents offer free parcels. Most grids don't have anything like this, though.
