Beyond the glow lies the old Japanese city, Once Towers grew where temples fell. Neon replaced the moon. The city burned bright for a few decades… and then the money left.
Now it rots in the salt air - Cracked streets snake between leaning wooden buildings that once housed markets and homes.
The government pulled out years ago, corporations followed, and what remains is a narrow band of existence: a few cyber survivors, humans who refused—or couldn’t afford—to follow.

Those people that stayed behind—fishers, scavengers, smugglers, ghosts with names no one remembers anymore. They eke out a living from the black water, Markets pop up at dusk under flickering signs that haven’t been serviced in years. Some lights still turn on at night. No one knows why and some clubs never close! . No one asks how they’re powered!
