✨ From OSGrid to NeverworldGrid – My First Big Move! 🚀💖

Well… I did it! My very first grid move, my very first .IAR, and surprisingly, I still have most of my hair! 😂✨

Over the next few days, I'll be sharing my experiences moving from OSGrid to NeverworldGrid on Discord – including a step-by-step guide, useful tips, and all those lovely little pitfalls that apparently exist just to make life more entertaining. 😉

This might be especially interesting for anyone planning to self-host their own OpenSim region.

One of the stars of this adventure was my trusty FRITZ!Box, happily dealing with my daily changing public IPv4 address. Because obviously, having a stable IP would have made things far too easy! 😂☕

And now for the REALLY exciting part…

My .OAR and .IAR were imported perfectly! 🎉

The speed was absolutely unbelievable! My avatar loaded incredibly fast, and both my .OAR and .IAR imports were so amazingly quick that I almost wondered whether someone had secretly installed a rocket engine somewhere! 🚀✨

Coming from OSGrid, I honestly couldn't believe my eyes!

Of course, there are quite a few things you need to know before attempting this adventure. And trust me, I discovered some of them the traditional way: by doing them wrong first! 😇

But that's exactly why I want to share everything I've learned – hopefully saving someone else a few hours of head-scratching, coffee drinking, and whispering sweet little threats to their computer. 😂

A HUGE thank you to the incredibly kind and patient Neverworld support team, the wonderful and helpful residents on Discord, and, last but definitely not least, my amazing friend, who helped me through this whole adventure. 💖

Without all of you, I'd probably still be staring at a console window, wondering why the universe hates special characters in passwords! 🤣

So, here we are…

First grid move. First .IAR. A few technical adventures. Lots of wonderful people. An incredible new home. And one very happy Mary! 💕

Stay tuned – the guide is coming soon on Discord!

Kisses, hugs & a little pixel dust! ✨💋

Mary 💖
