NEW RELEASE -Chubbys Boutique( Vela Shop Meile )
hop://vela-dream.de:8002/Vela%20_Shop_Meile/217/191/22

A new release today. A very tiny one...it's a little goldfinch. I never made a bird before but I thought the bird bath perhaps needs one and maybe I'll be doing some other bird related things. This guy is in 2 versions, flat feet for the ground and feet to perch on branches and things. He also comes with and without random finch sounds. He's at the main shop by the bird bath of course :)
Sometimes, when life gives you lemons, you just want the lemons. They are incredibly useful in the kitchen, they work for cleaning, cooking and drink making. Yes, they taste sour that's what makes them so fabulous! Have them on hand all the time...virtually.
New release today. I was intending to make these flowers for a while and finally did them. Day Lilies and "Tiger" Lilies. In my garden, the flowers I call Tiger Lilies are really just larger Day Lilies. The real Tiger Lilies are different, I know, but I named them as I knew them :).

World War I era pilot outfits were extremely heavy and warm because the cockpits of old airplanes were open, so at high altitudes the cold was a real issue, the jackets were also quite short so the hips of the pilot were un-cumbered to fit in the usually tiny benches.

Some pants were inherited from the cavalry with the characteristic fabric excess on the sides, I think the whole outfit speaks of a romantic and brave era so of course I had to make one pilot uniform to be in character while you fly some old airplane.

My version is rigged mesh, includes the mesh outfit and layer clothes for the gloves, shirt and alphas, it includes the textures so you can use it on bom mesh bodies too.

There's a female version made by White too.

Happy Saturday!

I've made the Kawaii Skulls jewelry set out of frustration. I've seen a lot of spectacular sets that are incredibly heavy, having tons of unnecessary geometry that only shines if you hyper zoom into the avatar.

My approach was making the details bigger, using the same method as theatre, where the props are enormous to be clearly visible from the back rows. I tried to make the scale of the links of the chains big enough to be visible from a normal distance but simple enough to not overwhelm viewers with geometry.

The result is a nice set of cute skulls that includes earrings, a necklace and a belly button piercing.

Happy Friday! (yay Friday!)
Cruising sketchfab I found a great tree swing that I added a swing script [it swings from side to side] It is free and full perms at Monentes Jewelry store. Please never sell. Thank you https://sketchfab.com/dipietron for creating this for us to enjoy.

This has been decimated in Blender, you might take it to blender and make it even lower count. Too much it loses details.

You can find an Art Deco bed at my shop, but the box contains more than that, it's a full bedroom set containing the bed, side tables, a bedroom chair, a rug, a vanity and a clock.

I searched around for references on 20's bedroom furniture that not only looked nice but also slightly futuristic, to give this un-temporal look. The bed contains the usual poses, but also you can actually sleep on it and if you click on the headboard you can open the bed because I dislike those beds that forces you to sleep on top of the sheets.

Happy Monday!

I've always enjoyed using water features in my landscaping. I made these water lilies to add some movement and colour to ponds or fountains.

The mailbox I offer is the classic American mailbox model, rustic and slightly grungy ideal as decoration on lazy and nostalgic sims. But also it's a working messaging system.

You can drag whatever to it pressing Crtl to leave a message/object to the owner of the box, the owner will receive a notification and then upon clicking on it, the owner will receive whatever is stored inside.

Of course the little red flag will raise when the box contains a new mail, as it should =)

Happy Sunday!

The ArtDeco Desk is a mix of two real life desks, an empire style one my grandma had at her house and an art deco one I saw in pictures, it features long drawers, support for typewriters, several poses and a beautiful office chair in light blue leather I fell in love looking for references in the webs.

When you sit on it it will rez the main chair to accommodate you and a very old computer for you to work on, the computer "monitor" (a replica of a very early TV) will report the avatars on the sim.

Oh, and it has naughty poses too =P

Happy Saturday!

The mate (pronounce it as mah-teh), is the name of a very local infusion like tea: the plant is called yerba mate, it has a very unique flavour and it's mainly consumed in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The way of drinking mate is put ground yerba mate leaves on the recipient (also called mate, because we love to confuse people), and then add water. You drink it through a metal straw called bombilla.

My mate is a literal copy of the one I use everyday at home, it's a giver so when you click on it, it'll give you a mate and a thermos to refill it, exotic!

Happy Tuesday!
The Whirligigs...I'm sure there's some other official name for them but that's what I call them. These have parts that spin in opposite directions so they really add some movement to the landscape, put in one or more of these, some animesh butterflies and animated tree leaves and it's a happening place :)

The summer house is an adaptation of an original RL house made by an architect close friend of mine. The differences are mostly supports and smaller windows that aren't necessary here, glass is free!

It features few but big rooms and it's a nice modern house you can use next to a beach but also in other environments, it also has a deep base so it will look good in uneven terrain. The doors are scripted with an access system and you can close and open the blinds of the house to enhance the realism.

Currently it's the only house I made that's available at the shop.

Happy Thursday!

Cherry blossom trees can make a mess on the ground, but, when you're pretty and pink, all is forgiven. The mess the Encantada trees make is always removable so, win/win.

The first models of domestic refrigerators had the condenser coil on top, as copper spiral that dispersed the heat extracted from the body of the refrigerator, it was a technology that was soon replaced by the traditional condenser behind the fridge.

Nowadays modern refrigerators have an internal one, it's not visible any more and I think it's a pity, it removes a very interesting part to watch.

My model is a mix of the look of the typical 50's fridge with the technology of the 20's because... It's pretty!

Happy Wednesday!

Kayak en eau calme au coucher de soleil

A while back I made a simple beach hut, somewhere to get out of the sun. It looks great with Arcadia's rattan dining set and tiki torches!

Deep down? We're all Ruth.

This is something I've seen very very frequently at the shop, here comes a new visitor: her avatar is simply gorgeous, latest mesh body and outfit with a stunning result but... she's sunk into the ground to the ankles.

Why?

Well, because in spite what you see is a mesh avatar, below it there's a regular good ol' ruth.

And she's barefoot.

That means the height of that mesh avatar is calculated from a flat feet standard avatar, regardless it shape, and thus, if you wear anything that's not a flat feet shoes, it will go underground.

How to solve it.

Open your inventory, right click somewhere (for example right click on the folder "Clothing") and then select New Clothes->New Shoes.
Then rename those new shoes and wear them.
Then edit your outfit, navigate to your new shoes and edit them, here comes the magic:
Use "Heel Height" and "Platform Height" sliders to move your avatar up until it's over the ground, cam around to check that you don't end actually hovering over it.
Then save the shoes and that's it!

I've noticed that mesh shoes/avatars won't come with layer shoes that regulate your hovering and the Firestorm option to change hover is only local, that means only you'll see the correct offset over the ground.
The only way for your new and shiny avatar to show correctly is either adjust the shoes or the hover option of your shape and the shoes are the easiest way.

So now you know, you don't need to be underground, showing off your new shoes is just two clicks away!

BTW, if you feel ultra lazy and don't want to do any of the above you could get the shoes at my shop, they come with layer shoes to offset your height to the proper level =)

Have a nice day.-
Hello? Is there anybody in there?

Battersea Power Station was a 500Mw power station designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott (designer of the red telephone box) and built in the 1930's it was decommissioned in 1983 and is a designated Grade II listed building. Since decommission there have been several proposals for its redevelopment including a Theme Park, Shopping Mall, Entertainment Venue, an 'Eco Tower, Biomass waste powerplant, Eco-dome, Urban Park, Football Stadium and Apple Headquarters.

This Iconic land-mark reflecting in the waters of the Thames has featured in the films of Hitchcock, Monty Python, Batman, 1984, Doctor Who and probably the most likely reason for worldwide recognition is its appearance on Pink Floyds 1977 album cover Animals.

Lovingly recreated, complete with flying pig, Battersea sits within the estates of the Art Factory and hosts a display of Pink Floyd memorabilia including the art work of Storm Thorgerson. The venue is also a nightclub which will host themed music events.

Wish you were here? Come on over and Shine on You crazy Diamonds.

Thought I'd add some light:)

Formed in 1965, Pink Floyd are probably one of the most loved groups of the Psychedelic era. Their 15 studio albums from 'Pipers at the Gates of Dawn' to 'The Endless River' spanned 47 years.

Floyd were renowned for their sonic experimentation, live performances incorporated lavish light shows and quadraphonic speaker systems. Concept works such a 'The Dark Side of the Moon' and 'The Wall' played on repeat on many bed-sit turntables of the 70's booming out the dark themes of alienation, war, insanity and dystopia.

Art surrounded much of Floyds output, cartoon illustrator Gerald Scarfe provided his disturbing ink-splattered caricatures for the rock opera 'The Wall' and their albums most often featured the work of surrealist graphic designer Storm Thorgerson who also produced covers for Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Peter Gabriel, the Alan Parsons Project, Genesis, The Muse, The Cranberries and Biffy Clyro.

Housed in the re-creation of Battersea Power Station on the Art Factory estates, the artwork of Pink Floyd is presented along with 3D recreations. Pink Floyd radio is permanently live when ever you need a sound track to close you eyes to and become comfortably numb. Look out for live shows and events coming soon.

The Tate Modern comes to The Art Factory

The Bankside power station was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott for the City of London Electric Lighting Company in 1891 and along with Battersea (See Pink Floyds Animals cover) served power to London for nearly 100 years.

Since 2000 'The mother of all Loft conversions' has been used to house the Tate Modern art museum and gallery which is now officially the most popular attraction in the UK.

This is a scratch build and recreates my 'Happy Place'. I typically visit the Tate 4 or 5 times a year and I'm never happier than when sat reading a show guide and drinking a coffee beneath the silver birch trees that flank its exterior. I have missed it so much during the Pandemic I had to recreate it.

The Tate is linked to the Art Factory via the Millennium Bridge and will initially house contemporary British Artists including Bacon, Hockney, Hirst and Emin. But let us know what you would like to see, when you think British Art who comes to mind?
