The new OSW beacon is now in the OSW package in our region. The new beacon includes some bug fixes and a new Like / comment button that allows people who visit your region to give likes and comments to your region. Get it from our region along with the new HUD!
# ποΈ BloodMoon Grid Now Runs Its Own WebRTC Voice Server! π
We are pleased to announce an important milestone for **BloodMoon Grid**!
BloodMoon has officially moved away from Vivox and now operates **its own independent WebRTC voice server**, hosted and managed entirely on our infrastructure.
After several weeks of development, testing, and improvements to the voice system, we have successfully deployed our new solution across the grid.
β **Proximity voice is now operational!**
Residents can communicate with nearby avatars using compatible viewers such as Firestorm.
π‘ **BloodMoon-hosted regions** have already been configured and restarted to use the new voice service.
π§ **Externally hosted regions** connected to BloodMoon require a configuration update and IP authorization to access our voice infrastructure.
π§ **Private IM voice calls and group voice conferences are not yet functional.** We are actively working on these features and will provide updates as development progresses.
### π A Step Toward Greater Independence
Our goal is to reduce our dependence on external services while maintaining a reliable and modern voice experience for our residents.
This deployment includes several fixes, adaptations, and improvements developed and tested specifically for our OpenSimulator environment.

Silver Basin opens wide beneath the mountains, where the desert floor gives way to pines, rock, and rising trails. Itβs one of those places in Sanctuary Canyon where you can stop for a minute and see how much country there is left to explore.
