I understand that you're upset about your stuff being taken, and I can see why that would be frustrating. At the same time, I hope you can understand my point of view: the same thing happened with my work, as you have it in your store and removed all my information (https://gyazo.com/9a6663119deff7bf36a044110df59232). I think it's important to recognize that fairness works both ways, and if we both respect each other's work, situations like this can be avoided in the future.
Regarding your work, Xara, you did a good job. And as for the problems, as many have said, just refer them back to where the material originally came from — you're not to blame.

I'm seriously wondering how you came to the conclusion that it's YOUR mesh body. You also copied it from SL and enhanced it with your scripts. Do I really need to mention that you can have the AI rewrite the scripts? Think about it. It's certainly all work and time-consuming, but to say "MINE" is certainly a bit of an exaggeration.

But fundamentally, you're absolutely right. It's disgusting that Sim owners or Grid owners "acquire" items from other grids, make them their own, and then boast about how awesome they actually stole them. Unfortunately, I haven't found a real solution to stop this yet.

I'm no different with the things I've scripted. I find many genitals I've scripted almost everywhere. Not that anyone has ever asked if I agree to this. No, it's assumed.

There's basically only one thing that helps: If you're certain the user didn't pick up the device from you and they now want support, send them back to the SIM provider where they picked up the device. Tell the user right away that you're sorry, but that you can't and don't want to check what might have been changed.

It's still funny to see everything that has already been stolen from Second Life and to be afraid of having it stolen in turn, it always amused me, the thief does not want to be stolen, it's very funny

what would be really cool is a tp board that will take you to all these different stores with the other bodies. or a list we could pass around. I try police just putting anything in my grid, I tell them it must be your own creation. Otherwise you have to get permission from creator to share it. Might be a hard ask but its a start.

All easier said than done when resellers throw all existing landmarks out of boxes, either to conceal where they got that stuff (to my best knowledge, it isn't possible to pick up the Xara boxes themselves) or to throw out "unnecessary cruft" which also includes any and all notecards or both. Especially when they god-mode or OAR the box contents (or the copybotted boxes themselves) to make themselves the creators.

As I've said elsewhere: Whenever someone launches a new freebie sim nowadays, they intentionally go into direct competition against R. Lion, Starchild, Darkhearts, Sciattisi, Tierra de Volcanes etc. for visitors and for OSW ranking. Basically, everyone wants to be the next R. Lion. This, however, requires not only the newest hottest clothes for all the newest hottest SL bodies, but it requires the bodies themselves to be available in their shops. They MUST have Legacy, and they MUST have LaraX, no matter how, because that's what (allegedly) everyone wants. Everything else would a) attract fewer customers and b) boost competing freebie sims.

Of course, they don't provide any customer service. I mean, how could they? Just because they've got that stuff in their stores, doesn't mean they know how it works. Not to mention they can't fix what's broken. They offer it as-is, and their customers have to deal with it.

Of course, they don't provide upgrades either. Just a few days ago, I've come across a hopelessly outdated copy of Simona on another sim. Freebie "merchants" often don't seem to care how old the stuff in the boxes is, just as long as there's the right brand name on the boxes. And the more often "copybot/rebox, put in store, make no-transfer" is repeated, the farther these outdated copies will spread, and the fewer people will use the most up-to-date versions because they will simply never know a) that newer versions exist, and b) where to get them. We've seen it all before with the Clubmaster (2.0 is vastly more widespread in stores than 2.1), Ruth 2.0 (I keep seeing RC#2 or even the 2016 test release in stores, but then again, this made it possible for me to collect and put up all versions for historical purposes), the OSW beacon, the Satyr Farm etc.
