Panellets are a traditional sweet that is eaten in Catalonia during the celebration of All Saints' Day. They are small, mostly round sweets made mainly of marzipan, a paste of almonds and sugar, and sweet potato. covered with pine nuts, coconut, almonds, or even chocolate.
All Saints’ Day is a Christian appropriation of the Celtic Samhain, the night of the dead. It has also become closely connected with the joyful and ancient pagan celebration of the end of the harvest, marked by the festival called Castanyada (in Catalonia). Halloween has greatly influenced the Castanyada, and on the night of the 31st of October, you can see a mix of both traditions.

@SilviaFrey: Are you saying Panellets are your most disliked Halloween candy? They sounds yummy to me!
