I'm looking for male and female Egyptian costumes, preferably system or mesh to wear, not mesh avatars. I need this by Friday night, maybe early Saturday afternoon.

@johnsheppard In the Northwest corner of Sandbox Plaza on OSGrid, there's some stuf for you. In the white box is a landmark to D&J Designs plus some old LK options you can mod, mix and match. You'll have to make the jewelry wearable. It's not rigged or anything but it should work.

and this did not work well at all. It's a tropical sim now... and NOTHING rezzed, it's all grey at high settings and grey at low settings too. boo

Luna Lunaria's Luxor? I can't imagine someone having hijacked what used to be essentially Luna's personal place and masterpiece and turned it into another run-of-the-mill tropical beach paradise sim. Also, it's hard to imagine that Luna's beacon, out of all, ended up elsewhere.
Also, grey? Which viewer in which version do you use? If it's Firestorm 6 or Singularity, grey may mean that someone has decorated the entire sim in PBR with no Blinn-Phong fallbacks.

You misunderstood. I went to the sim Jamie recommeneded below. No, Luxor is the same as it has been... in all of it's glory. Her RL spouse is custodian of her digital estate. I have a current FS (well enough that PBR works) and PBR works elsewhere. So something else.

Previous simulator: OpenSim Arriba (Codename: That is Not True) FreAki-1.3.6 (Unix/Mono) I suspect this may be the issue.

I know Dereos and its regulars pretty well; I meet many of them at least weekly.
The sims in Dereos run on various different OpenSim versions. It still largely depends on Arriba because it still largely depends on specific modifications added in Arriba.
OpenSim Arriba FreAki, as used by the grid server and various region servers, is a fork of ArribaSim, an older fork of OpenSim from, I think, before 0.8.2.1. IIRC, it was Freaky Tech, a Dereos resident, who created Arriba. FreAki is now maintained by Akira Sonoda. But a whole lot of new additions from over six years had to be ported over from vanilla manually, including BoM and viewer AO. I'm not sure if the current version is 1.3.6 or 1.3.7. The latest version was made after feedback from me, particularly regarding BoM, but IIRC, Dereos uses two versions. It is no longer maintained.
OpenSim Aki DotnetArriba, which is only used by region servers, is basically a fork of vanilla OpenSim, but Akira has added a few things from Arriba for it to be compatible to the grid server. It behaves much more like vanilla. I'm not sure if this is still maintained, for Akira has something new in the making.

I have no idea about the servers on Dereos or their connections. It's a pretty small scale operation so I've been there a few times when it was tough to rez in or move around. I would close anything nonessential and try again at a different time of day. I did make it there when I posted about it and managed to go into the store and cam up to costumes.

I found the store and that sim had no issues. It's the landing zone, and part of the issue is it's over the set prim limit. I didn't have anything open yesterday when I went, just Firestorm. I also have a machine with 32 gigs of memory so it's not my end.

OK this is a bit of a winding path and I hope this place is still there. They used to be on OSGrid and they had semi famous Friday parties. I think it's called D&Js or something like that. They moved to Dereos Grid, a tiny but a gem of a German grid. They had a big like emporium place with a few levels, furniture etc but the top was clothing and lots of cosumes. Old school stuff so system clothes. Pretty sure they had some Egyptian ones.They're not listed on here but go in through this region and see if anything close to D&Js or DJs exists on the map :dereos.org:80:Germania Plaza

D&J Design. I found it. It still exists. But the costumes I remembered are actually Roman not Egyptian. But the Roman stuff could be a decent base. Just accessorize it differently.

Wow I remember them! Yeah, Fred has Egyptian avatars on one of the sims... I haven't been able to get to his regions to find 'em.

Maybe shoot Fred a message? Again I'd use parts of the Roman cosumes and just add a bunch of chunky gold jewellry and sashes/capes and stuff.
