Help with landing people at coordinates other than 128,128,0
When people copy my HG address from Opensimworld, it always puts them at 128,128,0... is there a way to over-ride this. I tried putting a region telehub, but it did not land visitor at that place. I did not use beacons before I built my regions, so some of them, it is totally wrong landing at 128,128,0. If people come via the beacon itself, it lands them near beacon. But it is unlikely that most people come that way. I think most people just copy and paste from the opensimworld HG address on the region itself.

go to land info...set a landing point where you wish to land ppl on, and thats it... About how to set landing points is a huge article also at Firestorm help... And if their is a region with many avatars arrive, its also the possibility to set spawn..to avoid avatars build an avatar tower *wink...But..no span needed if just a regular coming in...< (less) than 5 avatars same time or so

The problem is the default landing point is long ways from some of my designated region welcome areas. I have many parcels on my regions and the default needs to be the same parcel with my region welcome or that does not work. I managed to connect the default with my welcome area on the welcome region, so that one works. And on another region. But I found it only seems to work with in a certain distance. I tried making a very long skinny path to the default from my designated welcome, and it would not work. When i made it smaller it did, but it did not reach to my designated so perhaps the auto TP that Aaack is showing me might work. :) Thank you very much for your help.

I have the same issue, apparently some grids and some viewers don't respect the land coordinates, so in my case i just put an invisible prim there (128 is underwater in my case) that teleports whoever steps on it to the proper landing point =)

would love that! I got around it on two regions where I could attach the land to the landing area I had made, and just force the landing spot. But for some that is just not possible. So your script seems ideal. Thank you so much!

Sure! here we go, so the idea is to put a prim (non phantom) on the floor of 128 128, the avatar must step on it, so for those who fly after teleport make the prim about 1 metre tall. and then put this script inside:

Change the for the coordinate of your own landing point and that's it =) They will get teleported even before the sim rezzes so it's pretty transparent for the user.
