Okay.. so being in the top10 grids has its issues.... Metaverselife has experienced DDOS attacks for over a week straight.... Unexpected but not unanticipated. Since a large number of Avitron grids residents have created accounts and taken land in Metaverse the attacks have been daily and persistent. Ive read quite a bit about the owner of said grid and have no doubt in my mind that there are ample motivations for such a person to cause such distress to others.4 years of this grid and minimal issues .. praying for his lost soul,..and adding CloudFlare..

You need a firewall that tells you the IPs where the attacks are coming from and block them. In addition to blocking certain countries that you know are not your users. An aspiration system would also be good for you, but it is more complex. Anyway Cloudflare is a patch in a very big hole in your raft, it only works for web that I know.
I also admit, that maybe it is not prepared for so many users.

Someone seems to be manipulating the comments here, as what I saw yesterday looks different today, including replies to specific comments have been moved to appear as not a reply but a general statement. A Lot of what was said previously is now also gone. Is there a hidden agenda here? It sure seems suspicious in either case... Some might not notice things like this, but others do!

The BEST response to TROLLS is NO RESPONSE... Trolls suffer when they see they cannot get to you... Some people get their kicks watching others suffer. There is a special place in HELL for miscreants who do that. If a certain grid is causing you problems... BLOCK THEM... there are plenty of scripts readily available to handle that task. Ok for the folks in the bleachers, the reality is this,....Opensim is VERY EASY to hack, thats why we get to keep all the parts when it breaks. :) Nobody knows this better than someone who has hacked opensim installs ..Diva wifi is a slug of programming and should be rewritten, but with over a million lines of code in opensim and rboken pieces everywhere, there are higher priorities than a login page for volunteer developers. Ive begun the process of replacing the login page from Diva with the Wordpress ,..but even that is and can be an issue of little documentation and lots of possible glitches,lol.. So with that I wish the best of luck to all,.. and most of all, I wish all to be nice to all Avatars,, even the little ones

You need to "git pull" on the latest Diva code and not use old stuff. There are no known security holes in Diva now.

Thanx for this suggestgion,.. but ,yeh there are Still brute force vulnerabilities in the diva and I believe the latest Diva interface was the one which was attacked,because my grid runs on Dreamgrid, and Fredmeister likes the latest.. i could be wrong bout Ferd runnin the latest diva,..but i think i aint,.. thats a good tip for others too, thnx

Well, while we see claims of others being attacked, in like manner so is AT, HERE and in-world. Actual attacks against the AT grid has been going on for at least a month or more. Go figure...

I saw an account in Avatron gird with my name on it, I tried ot message the account but no response. It makes you wonder why someone would try and copy me. I've messaged Alex to get it sorted out and no response.

Not really sure why there are some actually attempting to cause problems in AT other than they are outsiders trying to defame and cause problems for AT in an attempt to get rid of AT all because they don't like how AT is doing so well, or the lack of restraint in the temper of Alex, in which I have warned him about... I did not call anyone daft, but rather spoke in the matter of others assuming such things. Never just assume anything without researching the facts first. All I am doing is stating the obvious, to which in a court of law, the fact remains; "Innocent until proven guilty".

Yes,..I apologize for you not being able to access the grid,..but the grid is offline for the next hour or so, as we extend our security in an effort to try and minimize the disruptions from the ongoing attacks,.. we have been hit again today and have to change our login page,..having some trouble with Wordpress at the moment,...hope to celar it up by the end of the day, thanks for your concerns

Thats why this grid is blocked by many other grids since a longer time. Also many posts at OSW about it. Sadly they can create accounts someplace else and continue those attacks. New comment from that Avitron owner is again at HG business site about sim prices. Only he alone knows how to run a grid.. And all other things also...An old story :-(

Yes I agree, there have been a few IPs noted because of their actions inworld who came from other grids . Unfortunately the community is so vast and wide it is difficult to keep track of the angry ones when necessary. And true, I have read more than a few stories of that grid owner and sad but he seems to run unfettered . Maybe a worldwide bounty on repeate offenders would change the way people consider the responsibility of running a grid for others. Speaking of worldwide bounty,... I got 50 bucks for proof of who the hacker(s) are, in their choice of cash or crypto

IPs, or VPN or proxy? See, the ones likely attempting such things are probably using VPN or proxy to hide their IPs to try and avoid getting caught. Trick is, not even VPN or proxy is fail proof. Prove its someone using VPN or proxy first, then you see a pattern to start with.

The website has SSL, and only appears like that as no ssl because of a redirect. But hey, it's not done and ready yet, and when it is, you shall see it is SSL, even though right now it appears like it is not, when it actually is.

That does not surprise me. That person has a bad reputation for him and it is for a reason. When I told him that I wanted to close the regions in the grid he banned me from his grid before I clear them up to steal all my regions and inventory.
