I have scripted an absolutely gorgeous vendor board. I've left it in my sandbox, where you can take a copy, right in the center. It's very low cpu usage. It works perfectly. You must put at least 6 items in it. You also put the pictures in it. Name the pictures the same thing as the items, but put a period in front of the picture texture name. That's all there is to it. It's very smooth, sleek, and sharp. Definitely the way to modernize a lot of these old dated vendors you see in so many malls these days. :)

Today, from 11am grid time, the Expo party ! some hear 3 hours of great music, and explore the 100+ booths from all over Opensim, with freebies Landmarks, information, and links to many exciting places and people!

The Magic Mirror! Have you wanted a mirror you can click on and see yourself? Well here it is... You must change the mirror from "Buy" to "Sit" after you get it home. Then just click the mirror and sit on it. Press the [Esc] key on your keyboard to see yourself in the mirror. Make sure to turn off your AO. When you are done playing with the menu animations in the magic mirror, simply stand up. Et Voila. ( Yes I know this mirror is ugly as sin, but it's full perm, and you can play with the script, and retexture this mirror any way you like, maybe even put the scripts inside a decent looking mirror? i dunno. Anyway Enjoy )
With this script it is also possible to put in other animations, such as if you wanted to see yourself dancing in the mirror. etc. A long long time ago, i made this script for a lady in digiworldz. She put it inside a beautiful mirror and gave me a copy of that mirror, but I lost it in a grid crash, and it's been so long ago I forgot her name. I would love to have a copy of that mirror again, so if you want a better mirror ask around on digiworldz.

Tell me about old times, Jeanne. Monkey yawned. We were tired after a day of working on the Caribou regions.

My thoughts went to Skuld, my stray cat whom I miss so much and always will love dearly.

One night in early Second Life, two shy and misplaced souls met outside a strip club. We were too scared to go inside.

We said hi and became friends. Skuld moved from her cardboard box to a Romanian cottage in early Caribou. She found Ariadna, a sweet girl from Romania. They became inseparable.

I was alone. I had lost my SL friend and daughter. Little was weak after a car accident and joined the real angels too soon.

The Mama in me had nobody to take care of.

I got caught by the club and sex scene. A Mistress picked me up and set me dancing on a pole.

Night after night I danced in a quiet club, afraid of losing my life again.

Mostly I was alone. Sometimes someone came. Most had no Linden Dollars.

The Mama in me felt sorry and ended up helping them with a few.

Once a small stocky black cat came in. She just sat there, looking quietly at me.

“Jeanne, friends are the most important thing that we have. Don’t lose us. Come home.”

My stray cat Skuld woke me up. I went back home to Caribou, to Skuld and Ariadna and Kallu and Diana. I was with my friends.

“Could this happen today”, I think Monkey asked.

Yes Monkey. It did. I slipped once again, much later, when I was alone again.

I was helped back by friends who cared.

I am still grateful. Always and forever.

My exhibit consists of portraits I have taken of women who have contributed to Open Sim in significant ways, entitled, "Sculpting Prims: Female Visionaries In Open Sim." This exhibit is to honor and acknowledge the work of women that often goes unnoticed and shine a light on their many accomplishments.
My exhibit is only a part of the opening as we also have several talented artists exhibiting their work you don't want to miss.

This clock was originally built by Zia Frimon. She used 5 scripts in the root prim, A script in the minute hand, A script in the hour hand, A script in the alarm, A script in the light, A script in the chimes. Zia used 10 scripts in total that were very lengthy and very complex. Zia's clock used a nice chunk of sim cpu, and in present day they didn't work well at all. The clock was unsettable as the hands would go to a random position regardless of what you set them to. Zia's scripts in total were over a thousand lines of code. So here is my clock. The second hand sweeps like a rolex. The chimes work and are at the hour, and quarter hour. The hands turn and keep real world time. You set your time zone by entering it in the object description and resetting the script. Example: Eastern Standard Time is -8. The clock also plays a lovely clicking noise and the entire device works flawlessly in less than 40 lines of code. Get it FREE at cyberdatastorm.com:8002:Wizardry

This wonderful combat system has been masterfully scripted by Ares Halostar. It let's you set up a game on your land in your woods, where avatars can fight vampires, spiders, werewolves, and more! Not only this, but healing fairies and magical spirits fly to your aid to heal you! The entire system is FREE and is a massive amount of work. I don't understand the hatred towards child avis in Open Sim. Sure, they shouldn't engage in adult activities and maybe not hang in Adult sims but otherwise, what's the problem? Spare me the politics here, I don't need it.

My usual choice to look smaller is usually as a Dinkie. But I think I'll stock up on these avis, too!

My latest and probably most difficult memorial build, not that it was hard to do, but that it is a memorial to my very first pet who was so loyal, loving and protective. Wolfie was truly my best friend and to this day I miss him. He was half great Dane and half Siberian Husky and looked very much like a Canadian Timberwolf, hence his name. He was the most adorable puppy and grew into a beautiful and amazing adult dog. His memory will be forever treasured by me, but building the memorial brought a few tears to my eyes, I loved my boy.

The New Best Friends Pet Center (and mini zoo) is now open for all who would like to visit and maybe find your fur-ever friend. There are canines, felines, equines, reptilian, aquatic and fantasy critters, and all are Animesh to add that "alive touch" to your region or home. They are free and they are for you. Feeling empty today. Monkey sits still and quietly and looks worried. Not a normal morning in Caribou.

My partnership ended last night. I want to tell openly about it as it brings some changes to Caribougrid. And I hope that it can help others who have gone through the same.

I am so happy that Andron remains in Caribou. He will be less here because of other obligations and responsibilities. And yes, we will stay close friends. Andron will continue to help me with the difficult tech issues. We share our home here and I see that there are always fresh flowers and something to eat in the kitchen.

But our partnership? It did not get a real chance, for many reasons. And the future? We see what it brings.

There are some changes in Caribou. Three 2x2 large regions are now away or empty. Monkey and me are starting to repair them and we hope to have Caribou back in shape soon.

Friends are welcome to help of course.

Caribou will remain open for all 18+ Avatars from all regions and grids. There will be no changes.

I hope that you will all continue to respect this so that we can serve as a meeting point for everyone, outside any grid conflicts.

My younger sister Christina Lion is 19+ and will help me in Caribou. Yanny who is a wee bit older likes to be a fairy so better that Christina takes the responsibility.

'Little Lion' Christina cried, but was happy that Andron and her cousins will stay, even if they can come more seldom.

So, at the end it did not turn out to be as bad a day as I had expected. But yes, an empty and lonely feeling came over me, which Monkey understood.

I still suffer from the exclusion that I wrote about earlier, and am always here to lend a listening ear if someone wants to talk about these things.

Maybe we are old fashioned, Monkey and me. Today we remembered the lively weekends when people went out to dance and have fun together. Also here, in OpenSim.

This seems gone now. When I go somewhere I may find lots of people, but very little activity. One or two AVs talk or use gestures filling the screen, but most others are silent.

Sometimes they even stand wagging in total silence. Makes me think of the terra cotta warriors in emperor Qin Shi Huang Di mausoleum in China.

Mostly I love to stay for a while, listening to the music and dancing on my own. Sometimes exchanging a word with a friend. Then I get tired at being on the parking place and fly home to Caribou again.

Well, not much to say. Every grid does their own thing as they wish.

Caribougrid is here for you and everyone else. For now we have events three times every week and they are always open for everyone. Yes they will be more in the future.

One of my very favorite flowers is the Gladiolus, and I haven't really seen any anywhere in Open Sim so, I got busy and did my best to reproduce my beloved flowers here in virtual so I can share them with everybody else. These flowers always make me smile they are so regal and beautiful. You can find them at the Star Jinn Palisade Mall in our Masala Al Kohav region at the "Create A Scene Garden Center". We are working on a full pet shop and a mini zoo for folks to enjoy. You can look at the beautiful Animesh animals and find a pet to take home and love. But for now, the shop is not open as we want folks to have the full pleasure of it being completed before it's open to visit. We're trying to make this a complete Animesh pet shop and zoo. Tarot Table (The Celtic Cross) - BUG FIX. Thanks to 9 zero of neverworld for pointing out that in the dialog plus menu, setting menuidx=0 is no longer allowed due to scripting rule changes on some simulators. It worked on mine. But no matter, I have fixed this now to work perfectly.

Stag Hollow is still under construction and it is a cooperative effort among various grid members. It took a little searching and a lot of editing but here we have a whole herd of buffalo grazing in the valley between the town and the Indian camp. All are welcome to visit and if you'd like to have a home on this region we can discuss particulars. There is a hot air balloon to ride or you can find a horse rezzer in the stables of the blacksmith shop. Tour the hotels and restaurants and enjoy the many homes and businesses in this small town of Stag Hollow. There really is a lot to see here and I believe you'll enjoy it.
