friends-grid......we are a collection of real people and cultures.

*friends-grid does use animesh for atmosphere, but does not and will not use bots to alter traffic counts. I applaud the grids and regions who refuse to use fake traffic!

I have scripted an absolutely gorgeous vendor board. I've left it in my sandbox, where you can take a copy, right in the center. It's very low cpu usage. It works perfectly. You must put at least 6 items in it. You also put the pictures in it. Name the pictures the same thing as the items, but put a period in front of the picture texture name. That's all there is to it. It's very smooth, sleek, and sharp. Definitely the way to modernize a lot of these old dated vendors you see in so many malls these days. :)

I have often considered my underwater worlds
to be my best build ever. It took 6 months to find things, build
destroy, build, adjust and redo. Much of the time was spent searching.

This week I realized.....the best thing I can do for Opensim
is help all of you build underwater worlds if you wish.

A new season of Safari began on Wednesday - thanks to all friends, old and new, who joined us to visit CyberGlo on Wizardry and then Jimmy Olsen on Europa, with Xenon Darrow guiding us around Jimmy's build - both spectacular and informative places.

DJ Kith from Wyldwood Bayou will be spinning the music from female musicians over several decades, 70s-90s in honor of women in Open Sim.
My exhibit consists of portraits I have taken of women who have contributed to Open Sim in significant ways, entitled, "Sculpting Prims: Female Visionaries In Open Sim." This exhibit is to honor and acknowledge the work of women that often goes unnoticed and shine a light on their many accomplishments.
My exhibit is only a part of the opening as we also have several talented artists exhibiting their work you don't want to miss.

On April 9th, the Board of Directors convened and resolved to augment its membership by two individuals, thereby ensuring a quorum. Subsequently, it was unanimously decided to extend membership offers to Unadecal Masala and Roland Francis. I am pleased to confirm that both candidates graciously accepted, and on April 11th, our inaugural board meeting took place, yielding fruitful outcomes.

The newly appointed board members will undertake pivotal responsibilities, including reviewing and adjudicating art submissions, voting on prospective projects, and contributing to strategic decisions concerning the gallery's operations. Additionally, they will engage in various board-related duties.

To foster creativity, we are excited to announce the integration of a dedicated workspace within the gallery premises, facilitated by a small sim. This space will serve as a collaborative hub for artists, providing an opportunity for mutual encouragement, support, and artistic synergy within the Open Sim community.

We extend heartfelt congratulations to Una and Roland on their appointments. Your expertise and commitment will undoubtedly enrich our board, and we eagerly anticipate your contributions.

TOMORROW!! May 1st, the HG Safari gang will be touring our very own Haven Of Memories region. This region is dedicated to preserving the beautiful memories of those loved ones, family members and friends, human or pet, who have gone through the portal of the ages and crossed over the rainbow bridge, not with a goodbye but "Until We Meet Again". Join HG Safari for this tour of a beautiful region that is created and designed with special consideration and love for others. The whole Safari begins with with a trip to Pangea grid where Karsten Runningbear invites everyone to explore his vehicle workshop, where he scripts all kinds of transportation - bike, car, plane, and boat - even a special seaplane that lands realistically on water! Bring your physical vehicle script questions, and be ready to crash a few times. After that, I will guide you through a tour of genesis grid's memorial region where people can go to remember loved ones. I will explain the motivation behind the build. Join us for the HG Safari tour. Wednesday, May 1st beginning at 12 noon pacific (SLT aka grid) time. Allow us to invite you to join our Friends of The Genesis Roleplay Grid HUD. Here we'll place a walk through (collision) teleporter with your logo and grid address so that when people walk through they will be teleported to your grid and the region you select. At Genesis Roleplay Grid we are working to create a more positive and cooperative atmosphere in Open Sim and we're doing it by networking grids and sharing anything that we can to help our "Friends'" grids succeed. One of my very favorite flowers is the Gladiolus, and I haven't really seen any anywhere in Open Sim so, I got busy and did my best to reproduce my beloved flowers here in virtual so I can share them with everybody else. These flowers always make me smile they are so regal and beautiful. You can find them at the Star Jinn Palisade Mall in our Masala Al Kohav region at the "Create A Scene Garden Center". Stag Hollow is still under construction and it is a cooperative effort among various grid members. It took a little searching and a lot of editing but here we have a whole herd of buffalo grazing in the valley between the town and the Indian camp. All are welcome to visit and if you'd like to have a home on this region we can discuss particulars. There is a hot air balloon to ride or you can find a horse rezzer in the stables of the blacksmith shop. Tour the hotels and restaurants and enjoy the many homes and businesses in this small town of Stag Hollow. There really is a lot to see here and I believe you'll enjoy it.
