I have just added over 50 new items in " snoodle world " and its getting to the stage I am struggling to fit anymore things as the whole region is jam packed full !!! Of course everything is free but can you find everything?? look in all the nooks and crannies and you never know what you might find :-) come pay a visit to ' panthera grid ' and receive a warm welcome, but of course don't forget to tp to snoodle world.

I am looking for the grid listed above? I don't know of anything else that is there, but, someone has asked me to help him find it and I cannot seem to find it . . . not even on the map? Deceptive business practices. When one calls a property a virtual reality ESTATE - REPEATEDLY - and a 4x4, this is a lie. A SINGLE REGION is a single region. I have had my account canceled. I'll be interested in see if if next month I am charged because apparently language and standard definitions are not to be assumed to be shared realities.

Anyone who was around and paying attention when ZetaMex was the ground zero of open sim drama (did it ever change) will not be surprised.

It would of been nice if we had a notice, but once I found them and recreated my accounts my sim reappeared in the new grid.

Today I ran across the Halloween region on the Island Oasis grid(created by Sophia Paolino). I thought Island Oasis was a closed world? Or are some parts accessible to OpenSim. I stopped playing Island Oasis cuz no one was there!!! How long has this been available?

Just to point out that the header on the page reading, "There are no news" is incorrect as news in itself is singular. So it ought to read :
"There is no news" ~ or it could use the multiple "There are no news items", either way would be correct.

A Beautiful Poster, and an Uncomfortable Reality

I recently saw a beautiful promotional message describing Alternate Metaverse as a place of family, community, friendship, belonging and acceptance.It is a beautiful message, and for a long time, I genuinely believed in that idea too.I spent a considerable amount of time in AMV. I was not simply a visitor passing through. I gave my time, creativity, energy and commitment. I worked as staff, supported people, built, contributed ideas and genuinely believed that I was part of a community.

There were many wonderful moments, lovely people and experiences that I will never deny or forget. But my experience also had another side, one that eventually left me disappointed and hurt. I am not interested in creating drama or convincing anyone to dislike AMV. Some people may genuinely love it there, and I sincerely hope they continue to have a positive experience. Everyone is entitled to their own experience.

But this was mine.

I will not rewrite my history simply because honesty makes people uncomfortable. I know what I experienced, I know what I gave, and I know why I eventually walked away.A community can speak about family, belonging, friendship and acceptance, but words alone are easy. A beautiful welcome sign is easy to create. Creating a place where people genuinely feel safe, valued and accepted, including when their experiences are not always positive, is something else entirely.

I am not asking anyone to agree with me. I am simply refusing to pretend that my experience was something other than what it was.There is room for beautiful memories and difficult truths to exist at the same time.

Really a GRID unlike any other, spent many years between different grids, and the experience I have had in AMV has overall been amazing, which made me want to stay and be a part of it all, do come explore and check it out, it is really worth a visit, if you are looking for a new home give AMV a chance, come in with a fresh perspective!

When it comes to details Fred and Deb's Virunga leaves nothing to the imagination. I come by to leave a note or gift for Deb in her mailbox at Rosamond Halsey Carr house. Rosamond Halsey Carr (1912-2006) had a flower ranch in Rwanda,. After the genocide of Hutus by Tutsi, when 8 people were killed in her gardens, she turned her flower sheds in the Imbabazi Orphanage. She was 84.

Since that time Roz and her staff have cared for more than 400 children. Since Roz's passing in 2006, the orphanage is under the direction of Partners in Conservation and currently cares for more than 100 orphans.

Roz also wrote the book "Land of a Thousand Hills: My Life in Rwanda," with her niece, Ann Howard Halsey, chronicling her love affair with one of the world's most beautiful and tormented regions. She is also the 2004 recipient of the Volvo for Life Award.

The Fleetwood Beach Telescope

The large Fleetwood Beach Telescope is located in its own observatory and is one of the region’s special technical attractions.

Its design is inspired by classic large astronomical telescopes and has been adapted to fit the Steampunk world of Fleetwood Beach. Mechanical elements, metal structures and its impressive construction give the instrument the appearance of an old scientific machine.

Visitors can take a seat at the telescope and use it to observe the surroundings of Fleetwood Beach from an elevated perspective. They are not limited to predefined viewing points and can decide for themselves where they want to look.

This freedom of use makes the telescope a special experience. It is not merely a decorative feature of the observatory, but an interactive way to explore the region from a completely different perspective.
