I have oar's taken daily of all my regions (with content - I dont do this for ocean regions), and IARs every week. OFC My IARs are just for my very limited local account users (as my grid doesnt have public registration). I also have an rsync of my assets updated daily as well as copies of my grid structure. It's not perfect but I can restore my grid to the last day if I need to. The biggest issues is restoring OARs where there are items owned by non-local users. It cant usually resolve those users so they get owned by "me" when I need to do this so these are "emergency" OARs - I do not intend to ever "revert" to them etc.

I agree though - while I dont need to manually do mine anymore (I just check they are working) - its a relief to know you are as prepared as you can be.

i am so glad your backups are complete. I know it can be really exhilarating to have those stored away safely in offline storage. Plus it just puts your mind at ease. In my case, my latest backups were bad.

Can you imagine Osgrids then?
