if u are building regions for others joiment u might consider to quit.
no one really cares here unless they can copy or buy something they do not own yet.

u might considering to take a few steps back rethink your reasons why u are putting so much time in opensimulator in the first place.

Name every object out on the region to "Thingy", then they at least cannot grab stuff by area search, might give some incentive to look around

This is probably why hardly any sim builder can be bothered to build paths or, if applicable, even install some form of automated transportation: Nobody will ever use either. People prefer standing where they've landed and camming around for cool new stuff to copy. Basically the only reason why they've teleported in in the first place.
If only they were as eager trying to find parties that they didn't land right next to...
And this is also why hardly anyone can be bothered to make their sims interactive with scripted objects. That is, except for dance machines, Greedy tables and sex furniture. Just ask yourself why there are beds with hundreds of sex animation, but not even one single solo sleeping animation.

yeah but .. there's lands we have that are massive. We've spent huge amounts of time on them. No way can 30-60 seconds let anyone check it all, whatsoever other than the bare min. But its all good, it was just something I keep noticing, not just my grid either!

Same, I never rely just on camming around. Jupiter made an excellent point. We dont have sex or dance and the most active regions are always the shopping ones. Just the way it is ..
