SVPortal v2.0 Beta 1 is now available.
This release brings the new setup registry to replace most of the configuration in config.php (some items have to stay there - like database connection details: you cant get the database connection details from the database until you know how to connect to the database!)
Existing users will need to upgrade their grid settings, and a script is provided to do this - but please read the note on the download at https://www.glenysbieler.com/svportal/.

My assistant Dirty Helga uses Claude for arbitration and re-skinning UVs. Machine intelligence has started a new renaissance in Opensim. This is an exciting time to build and explore!

I know its a bit of a polarizing thing: Some love AI, some hate it. Clearly AI is the IT iteration of "Marmite"!
What I can say is that none of my projects: SVPortal, Ensemble or HappyBums would have been created without it. It's given me the ability to take ideas and make them a reality. AI is a "tool". However, like a lot of tools you cant just say "I want X" - you would have to be very lucky to actually GET the X you wanted. You do have to know enough about the thing you are doing to know when it's made a "bad call" (and they are definately plentiful!!) and put it right.
Definately requires some patience - but worth it in my view.

Agreed. What you get from the machine is proportionate to the effort put into it. When used as a learning tool instead of a crutch, you have a powerful asset in your hands. It helped me do what I thought would be impossible on an older Opensim build and will even permit me to extend it's expected life-cycle. That is power!
