As many of you wonderful peeps out there know Diva, who created this region, sadly passed away in December 2020. We have kept the region live by request from her family and from the many users who frequently visit this region. We continue to update the region and have done a little cleanup as our wonderful Diva passed in the middle of part of the build. Dynamic Worldz will continue to sponsor this region as so many of you find it so valuable.

Dorena's World is one of the oldest grids ever. I've seen many come and go. When OSW opened its doors, we were already a few years behind us. Inworld has built up a community between the grids, which ultimately works well here even without the portal. Bots, no bots, afk avatars or not. I find it extremely embarrassing at what some people here are getting upset about and letting one crazy person drive them crazy. As far as the real number of visitors is concerned, the visitor boards inworld usually show completely different data than here. I can recommend Pagane to see a good psychiatrist in real life. I mean that honestly, without any mockery. What she says here..

Opensimworld.com is a great way to promote all the wonderful creations we can find in different grids and I think this is the purpose of this website. Promoting creativity, giving people the ability to explore and see what others create. This is why Im sponsoring this website with advertisements and announcements. Lately I observe this place is filled with comments of personal kind , ( some would call it drama ). I am sure the majority here visiting this website for the same reason as I do are not happy with the continuously posted remarks of personal kind ( and disrespectful) . My first feeble attempt at making a bed. I need to find the sleep pose ball for it and it'll be ready to go. Hopefully I'll learn to do more and nicer things. Spring has sprung in the shire. All the cold is gone and the birds are singing. The trees are green and so is the grass. Come and explore and enjoy the town, the tavern, the bakery, the farms, the mountain lodge and fishing cottages, the winery, and St. Brendan's Church.

Auf uns kommt da was zu, der Gridserver hat sich zwecks Festplattenüberprüfung gemeldet, befürchte einen Knacks. Das heißt Umzug auf neuen Server und Downtime. Mein Gedanke geht darin, die 2 auf einen doppelt so großen modernen Server zusammenzulegen.
Ich sage es euch ehrlich, da kommt was auf uns zu, bzw auf mich. Ist eine ziemliche Menge an Daten
Stress, da ich lieber nicht allzu lange warten will und für einen Monat höhere Kosten, wegen doppelter Miete, später dafür günstiger.
Ich schreibe auch alle anderen persönlich an, die es betrifft.
Neues Maschinchen ist spätestens morgen da.
Dann geht es folgendermaßen los:
1. Betriebsystemupdates
2. Umzug aller Regionen vorerst ankoppeln an den "alten Server"
3. Runterfahren der alten Server und Kopieren und aktivieren der rübergschaufelten Griddatenbank. Wegen der Größe kann das eine 3-4 tägige Downtime bedeuten, wahrscheinlich aber erheblich schneller.
4. Domainumzug und einrichten des Webinterfaces.
5. Hochfahren mit Gridservices und Regionen, Abschluss der Arbeiten.

Something is coming our way, the grid server has reported to check the hard drive, I fear a crack. That means moving to a new server and downtime. My idea is to merge the 2 into a modern server twice the size.
I'll tell you honestly, something is coming our way, or me. Is quite a lot of data
Stress, because I prefer not to wait too long and higher costs for one month because of double the rent, later cheaper.
I am also writing to everyone else personally who is affected.
New machine will be there by tomorrow at the latest.
Then it starts like this:
1. Operating system updates
2. Relocation of all regions initially connect to the "old server"
3. Shutting down the old servers and copying and activating the migrated grid database. Because of the size, this can mean a 3-4 day downtime, but probably much faster.
4. Domain transfer and setting up the web interface.
5. Start up with gridservices and regions, work done.

Yay, here I am at Paris in AMV! Took me a bit of time last night to settle on a basic look. I'm sporting the Athena body with the Lelutka Erin head, same as my OSgrid avi, but lighter skin. I've also tried to add a bit more thickness to her compared to the other one.
I'd love to age myself a bit more here. That's not a typo! Is there a good store in Open Sim that has aged body skins? I have tried out the aged face skins from the BoM pack and they do work well, but I could use some body freckles and veins for a more convincing aged look. Not too old, let's say 45-55, basically my age group IRL.

It's not ready to be visited yet but we have a new region being prepared. This region is a Memorial region open to all who may wish to hold memorial services or to place a remembrance of a loved one. Haven of Memories will open soon on grid.genesis-roleplay.org and it promises to be soothing and beautiful. You can come and just sit and remember the good times if that's all you want to do, the gardens will be open to all. COMING SOON!

The term "101" derives from the late 1920s, when US universities designed a numbering system for their lessons. (Year 1, Generic topic, 1st lesson).
"Room 101" is the name for the basement torture chamber in the "Ministry of Love" (from George Orwell's 1949 dystopian novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four").
"101" can be used to mean LOL (Laugh Out Loud), simply because the numbers look like the letters.
The Disney film 101 Dalmatians is based on the 1956 novel by Dodie Smith. (Dodie!)
And at oh HELLO, 101 Damn Outfits is the number of carefully curated and assembled outfits, (with fatpacks!), that are now in the shop.
Hurry in because tomorrow we will have 102 outfits, and that number don't mean a damn thang.
