Die Geschichte von Passport beginnt in einer Ära, in der Westdeutschland sich von den Schatten des Zweiten Weltkriegs zu lösen versuchte und eine neue kulturelle Identität suchte. Der Gründer, geboren am 12. Mai 1936 in Berlin, wuchs in einer Zeit auf, die von Wiederaufbau und wirtschaftlichem Wunder geprägt war, doch auch von sozialen Spannungen.
