I've been working on a custom distribution of OpenSim and wanted to share it with the community.

If you run a standalone region, a mini-grid, or a region where the majority of your traffic comes from Hypergrid visitors, or if you spend most of your own time HG traveling, this project might be of interest to you.

Discover Fleetwood Beach by Monorail

The monorail is still used rather rarely by visitors to the sim. Apparently, many people simply do not yet know that there is such a relaxing and comfortable way to explore Fleetwood Beach.

And that is exactly what the monorail is perfect for: during the ride, you can simply sit back, look around, and discover many details that are easy to miss when walking or teleporting from place to place.

Fleetwood Beach has been created with great attention to detail. Along the route, there are many buildings, places, technical constructions, landscaped areas, and small scenes to discover. The combination of steampunk elements, unusual architecture, and the different areas of the sim looks especially interesting from the elevated perspective of the monorail.

To make the monorail easier to find and use, I have now marked the stops much more clearly.

The monorail stops at every marked station and remains there for about 10 seconds. During this time, visitors can simply click on the seat cushion of a free seat and sit down.

After that, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

A complete journey takes a little over five minutes. That gives you plenty of time to experience the sim at a relaxed pace, get a good overview, and perhaps discover places that you may want to explore more closely on foot afterwards.

So if you visit Fleetwood Beach, take a few minutes and enjoy a ride on the monorail.

The Fleetwood Beach Lagoon

The Fleetwood Beach Lagoon offers a peaceful contrast to the more technical and industrial areas of the region.

Surrounded by water, shoreline and the surrounding landscape, it is a place where visitors can slow down, enjoy the scenery and take in the special atmosphere of Fleetwood Beach.

The lagoon is designed as a natural part of the region and connects the maritime character of Fleetwood Beach with its distinctive Steampunk setting. The result is an area that invites both exploration and relaxation.

***SPECIAL NOTICE***
Hello peoplez, here is a special message for all sim owners, who think they can't use ubODE, because it makes a mess of oldschool buildings--- u can't enter anymore.
Good news: u cán use ubode, BUT, not with the, supposedly mandatory ubode mesher!
Instead, use the classic Meshmerizer!
Yes, it produces a red warning on your command console, but, you can safely ignore that.
I have been using that Meshmerizer with ubode for more than a year....never any issue.
And: you can safely try it out: if, for whatever reason, ur not happy, simply revert the changes. On my personal experience, I might add: I prefer ubODE in any case, its faster,more reliable and uses less resources.
SO......make yourself a happy camper and ....ZZZZZWITCH.

Wolf Territories Grid is excited to announce that we have completed our migration to 2 new server clusters (one for regions and one for the main grid). This included a zero-downtime migration of our databases and other systems, upgrading software, etc. We had a few niggles which we dealt with, but it's complete. We moved from an old proxmox cluster to two WolfStack clusters (https://wolfstack.org) this is software we developed in house to manage servers.
