Hey everyone!

You will notice our old Joomla website is sometimes on and sometimes off. Here is the deal and some tips.

First off I want to thank fred for all his hard work on dreamgrid.

Some things in the new website require php8, so we have to switch over from php 7 that joomla uses for the new website to fix things and get it going.

Second, I want to thank Gundahar Bravin. He has been amazing with helping us get his epic L.O.R.E plugin for wordpress for maps working. Since website uses HTTPS but a port on dreamgrid uses http that meant we had to figure out a way around it since http to http is preferred. Many thanks to him for helping us with a workaround in his plugin.

With the help of chat GPT I was finally able to get ImageMagick installed and working for wordpress with dreamgrid along with curl and XML-RPC. If you use dreamgrid and your website is via wordpress, you need those 3 things for opensimulator plugin to work.

Apache was having a hard time finding ImageMagick even after i installed the dll, so i had to tell it in the file where the location was and boom, issue solved. Also I had to install a 7.11 version, not 7.12 incase anyone has that same issue.

One thing I noticed is by the next day, the changes i made to php8.ini were reverted back, anyone know why that happened? I was able to simple fix it and its back working.

Thank you to all that have helped me along this process. We will eventually get this new website up, it will just take a little longer then i thought.

As far as I can see, we have around 20 clubs to present, and pictures will follow. I’m still deciding whether to use AI-enhanced images or keep things more natural. What would you prefer?

If someone is interested in a particular location, I could also take pictures there first.

When it comes to residents, though, managing them can be quite a lot of work for a grid owner. I love building, but I’m definitely not a natural-born manager, and time is always the limiting factor. My priority is creating, not managing residents.

On OSGrid, people already have their accounts, and I had originally planned to build something on Tartaria. But lately, OSGrid seems to be getting pretty laggy again, so I decided to rez the new regions on my own grid side instead. I didn’t want a repeat of what happened with my Big Cozy Region when OSGrid went down.

That’s also why the new regions **Michaela** and **Village of Art** stayed on my grid. Apparently, this also led to me being blocked from advertising on OSGrid, without any discussion. Maybe OSGrid isn’t too happy when people add value outside their grid, or maybe someone put pressure on them. Who knows. 🤷‍♀️

In the end, I think the virtual world can be a pretty crazy place sometimes. 😂 But I still love creating, and I’m not going to stop just because things get complicated. Maybe I’ll eventually find a more peaceful world… another planet, perhaps. Or at least a better galaxy. 😄🌌

And yes, sometimes accounts are given to friends. But experience has taught me that good friends aren’t always that easy to find in a virtual world. 😉

With the help of Chat GPT, I turned them into floating flowers that you can float on, or slowly drive like a boat. I then added a few more with my own textures. Please come and try them out and tell me what you think.

It is so peaceful in here, I was in Zen mode after working on these with the music in the region on.
