We are pleased to announce that Yana Dakota was recently back in-world on Samsara to finally complete her long-awaited exhibition dedicated to The Walk for Peace.

This meaningful exhibition follows the Buddhist monks on their journey from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C., honoring their message of peace, compassion, unity and nonviolence.

Visitors will be able to experience a carefully created exhibition featuring photographs from the journey, the different states along the route, portraits of the monks, Aloka the Peace Dog, and a beautiful Coming Home section.

The exhibition also includes streams connected to The Walk for Peace, allowing visitors to experience and follow the journey beyond the photographs displayed in the exhibition.

Yana has devoted considerable time, creativity and love to bringing this journey to life in Samsara. The exhibition is intended not simply to be viewed, but to be experienced, a peaceful journey through images, memories, moving pictures and the spirit of compassion.

The exhibition is now nearing completion, and we look forward to sharing the official opening announcement with you soon.

After learning from multiple visitors and grid staff that the name Darkheart is associated in OpenSim with another group known as Darkheart Playground—a group carrying a reputation for inappropriate and unacceptable content—we have chosen to fully separate ourselves from that name.

We stand firmly against everything Darkheart Playground represents, on any grid where they exist. Their reputation does not reflect our values, our culture, or the safe, creative environment we have built.

To ensure our community is never mistaken for that group, we have officially changed our identity to Moonstar.

All sim materials, branding, images, songs, and designations are now being updated. When you visit us in OpenSim, you will arrive at the Moonstar region and be welcomed into Moon Valley, our new home and creative center.

This is a positive new chapter for us — a moment of clarity, unity, and pride.

I saw a post about terrain textures and had the idea for TerrainSkin. I made a module that reads the height of the region and creates a mesh and applies the texture you specify. This is the first test that worked on dev grid so it doesn't really look good but it will be interesting to have a mesh skin over the terrain you can texture however you want without the repeats. The reason I came up with this module is so it will work on any viewer without modification. Look forward to perfecting the idea. The module calculates low/mid/high LOD and normals on the mesh and creates an asset. It's not necessary to use blender, but you could export and play with it in blender if you wanted to. It's not automatic if you alter the terrain but it's simple command to regenerate (removes existing mesh first) or just a simple command remove the terrain mesh skin. it's like instant. Coming soon to Holoneon Grid.

After Dark is getting darker

As the seasons change and Halloween draws nearer, subtle changes are happening all around After Dark. Come experience it.. if you dare.

No AI was used in the creation of this image - I don't think it serves any purpose to promote a region using an AI generated image. Not bashing AI in any way - just advocating for the idea that if you want people to come see your work in-world then that is what the image should show.

I was creating a Landing Area for New People from Sinespace who have never been in Opensim and I thought I would post the most basic that most people look over for Mesh Clothing. Just my thoughts. BOM is back with some Mesh avatars.

Another example of how it looks like when one can paint your own texture on SIM ground.Mountains on background are part of the sim, terraformed. the one at bottom, mesh. You don`t even see the difference anymore.
