hello everyone,
I just wanted to send out this note to all of our Barefoot-Dreamers.
Thanks to Huga's untiring efforts the grid is up.
As she and Gabe noted this issue was beyond our control, but with the help of our server providers and with Huga and others brainstorming and troubleshooting, the server provider was finally able to track down the problem.

Obviously, we would never want to have this happening and we do our best to keep the grid up and running. And we love having you all here as part of Barefoot-Dreamers.

It is our sincerest wish that everyone dispenses with all the debates about rights and wrongs and accepts that what we do, we do for the purest of reasons and for the good of everyone.

Current Affairs Statement:

We are not concerned with traffic numbers or grid rankings and we have no desire to provide a mall or store and have our grid constantly feeding hungry travellers who take everything in a single visit. We provided items that could be used in stores and malls who do wish traffic and numbers and rankings and if that is how they want to play? We will not interfere. We should all be able to have fun and share the good things OS has to offer without any dramas. However, many people seem to have an issue with this and others also want to claim kudos for new products on their regions which we developed and they simply removed our logo and rebox them. As if this wasn't enough? They then restrict the perms to no copy or no trans or both. This is in direct contradiction to why we developed the assets in the first instance and this is why despite our 'Mission Statement' and wish to avoid dramas we have removed our products.
We will continue to develop and build on the assets we had always planned on doing and when the Open Sim community is ready to treat both our assets and our wishes with respect we may release them but until then we remain NotSorry.

Road Kill

My passion is building large architectural structures and regions for commercial, spiritual, and entertainment purposes, and doing them with highly detailed surfaces and textures. While I am not primarily in the business of making smaller items, in the process of making a venue I inevitably end up adding furniture, lighting, and accessories that match the style. A lot of these I make myself, but some, like this beautiful Art Deco Lamp, which will be part of my new OSFest build, I source from 3D modeling sites.

The first photo is of an original lamp from the 1920s, currently available on Etsy for about $300 usd. The second is the 3D model by Katmit developed for 3D printers. I purchased it on Renderhub for $12 and it came with an Extended Use license. After a lot of work with faces and UV maps I was finally able to get Firestorm to let my version upload, which is the last pic. I was meh about the plain globe, so I replaced that with something more interesting and added my light script. This little project took a lot more time and effort than I planned for, but I'll spend many happy moments sitting at the bar just looking at this lovely piece of art that began life a hundred years ago.

I'm writing to you today to express my disappointment in the toxic and immature culture that has developed on this site. I am a creative person who enjoys coming here to share my work and connect with other creative people. However, I have found that the majority of the fire conversations on this site are focused on criticizing others and their work. This is incredibly discouraging and has made me feel unwelcome here.
I understand that everyone has different opinions, but there is a difference between constructive criticism and simply being mean. When you constantly focus on people's faults and short comings, you are not helping them to improve. In fact, you are likely making them feel worse about themselves, and it will also do the same to you.
I urge you to stop with the toxic posts and focus on being more positive. This is a creator space, so let's focus on creating! Let's share our work and ideas with each other and build each other up. Let's have fun and make this a place where everyone feels welcome.
If you are unable to be positive, then please log off. There is no need to spread your negativity here.

The Vault is going to host official events and will be available for any ZetaWorlds resident to host their own as well.

The Celestial Pavillion is a large, open venue done in a reimagined ancient dynastic style, perfect for ancient Egyptian, Greek, or Roman roleplay, live performers, DJs, and any other large celebration or gathering, such as grid parties, birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries.

The Pavillion was inspired by the Temple of Isis at Philae on Agilkia Island located on the Nile River, but is not an exact replica. More than two thirds of Philae's surviving structures were built in the Ptolemaic era, during which the island became a prominent site of pilgrimage not only for Egyptians and Nubians but for pilgrims from as far as Anatolia, Crete, and the Greek mainland. During the Roman era, Philae was the site of the last known inscription in Egyptian hieroglyphs, written in AD 394, and the last known Demotic inscription, written in 452.

The Pavillion comes complete with multiple mesh lotus columns, both taller and shorter fire braziers, mesh date palms in exquisite polished gold planters, as well as various mesh statues. The build is 157 prims with all plants and braziers placed. The base footprint is 80 x 35 meters. A pair of these temples can be seen at my home region of Luxor flanking both sides of the Main Harbor.

Me gustaría aclarar algo porque se ha puesto en duda, como siempre, por estos lares, la integridad de muchos de nosotros a la hora de poner cosas en las tiendas. He abierto mi primera tienda en Opensim, gracias a un gran amigo que me ha dejado un local en su terreno. Ha sido una de las pocas cosas que me han mantenido entretenida y mi única idea era compartir, con todo aquel que perdiera un poco de su tiempo en visitar el lugar, las cosas que he podido ir comprando en otros grids. Cosas que al comprarlas aparecen como copy/modidy/transfer. No he robado nada a nadie, principalmente porque no sé hacerlo, y, aunque supiera, tampoco lo haría. Creo que la mayoría de los que nos movemos por Opensim, queremos tener cosas bonitas, interesantes, diferentes...Yo he pasado muuuchas horas recorriéndome todos los sitios que he podido, buscando items que merecieran la pena, otros que me parecían graciosos, otros, símplemente para ayudar a otras personas a montar sus tiendas, decorar sus casas, sus terrenos...lo que sea. Los que me conocen, saben que esto lo hago porque me encanta descubrir sitios nuevos y, si de paso, encuentro tiendas que me venden cosas que puedo compartir, pues mejor. Las cosas que están en mi pequeño rincón, están tal y como las he comprado. Podéis ver el nombre del creador y a qué grid pertenece. Yo no modifico nada porque es el trabajo que ha hecho otra persona y no voy a ocultarlo porque no sería justo para ellos (según pienso yo, eh? que esta es una opinión personal y mi modo de actuar). Así que, bueno, espero no haber ofendido a nadie. Solo comparto esto porque duele que te acusen de cosas que no has hecho y afecten a otras personas que gentilmente han confiado en mí.
