The next addition to the Homelandz Public Library is a wonderful romance/thriller from Nicholas Sparks, called Safe Haven. It was published in 2010, and adapted to film in 2013, starring Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough.

The novel is a tale of Erin, who flees an alcoholic abusive police detective husband. She moves far away, changes her name to Katie, and tries to start a new life. "Katie" quickly makes friends with her new neighbor, Jo, and, though cautious due to her past abuse from husband, Kevin, "Katie" quickly falls in love with widower, Alex, who owns the small local convenience shop. It's here, LESHMOR HOUSE!!! One of the structures to be used in the "Deceptions" role play which is a fan fiction spin off from the Witcher after Season 3 on streaming. With the shake up in actors and their stray from the novels, watching season 4 is not in the books for me, but I wanted the story to continue, so I threw in my own changes and twists and plan to have a great RP for those interested in being involved in this fan fiction future for our canon characters and for new characters that the players come up with (within reason). If you just like and want the house, come and get it, it's there for the taking and will make a great western or medieval building. It is copy, modify, transfer but keep in mind it is partial mesh so modifying will not be easy, but it can be done. If you just want to re texture it, it's easy, peasy lemon squeezy. Today, especially for you, a short documentation of how I generate images, which can be a bit tricky, but doesn't have to be. Depending on the situation, I sometimes work quite differently.
Top left: the image I had an AI generate according to my specifications.
Next to it, on the right, after image fusion, for which I also have a program on my computer. I then had an AI modify this image again, as shown in the bottom right. The final result, bottom right, after post-processing (color, sharpening, etc.), also with a local program.

Another fine classic coming to you from the Homelandz Public Library...Kidnapped, by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Kidnapped is a historical fiction adventure novel by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, written as a boys' novel and first published in the magazine Young Folks from May to July 1886. The novel has attracted the praise and admiration of writers as diverse as Henry James, Jorge Luis Borges, and Hilary Mantel. A sequel, Catriona, was published in 1893.

The narrative is written in English with some dialogue in Lowland Scots, a Germanic language that evolved from an earlier incarnation of English.

Kidnapped is set around real 18th-century Scottish events, notably the "Appin Murder" and the Highland Clearances, which occurred in the aftermath of the Jacobite rising of 1745. Many of the characters are real people, including one of the principals, Alan Breck Stewart. The political situation of the time is portrayed from multiple viewpoints, and the Scottish Highlanders are treated sympathetically.

The full title of the book is Kidnapped: Being Memoirs of the Adventures of David Balfour in the Year 1751: How he was Kidnapped and Cast away; his Sufferings in a Desert Isle; His Journey in the Wild Highlands; his acquaintance with Alan Breck Stewart and other notorious Highland Jacobites; with all that he suffered at the hands of his Uncle, Ebenezer Balfour of Shaws, falsely so-called: Written by Himself and now set forth by Robert Louis Stevenson.

And now a change of pace from so many "classic" novels, as we branch into more genres and tastes...a personal favorite of mine is welcomed to the Homelandz Public Library...American Psycho, by Bret Easton Ellis!

American Psycho is a black comedy horror novel by American writer Bret Easton Ellis, published in 1991. The story is told in the first-person by Patrick Bateman, a wealthy, narcissistic, and vain Manhattan investment banker who lives a double life as a serial killer. Alison Kelly of The Observer notes that while "some countries [deem it] so potentially disturbing that it can only be sold shrink-wrapped", "critics rave about it" and "academics revel in its transgressive and postmodern qualities".

A film adaptation starring Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman was released in 2000 to generally favorable reviews. Producers David Johnson and Jesse Singer developed a musical adaptation for Broadway. The musical premiered at the Almeida Theatre, London in December 2013.

The book has garnered notoriety for its graphic violence and has led to it being censored in multiple countries.
