All of us at My Virtual beach are devastated of the news of OS Grid. I wish there was something I/we could do.

I cant believe after all these years one person could trash a whole grid like that.

When I first came to opensim OS grid was the first place i got stuff for my suitcase (inventory) I have met a lot of friends in OS Grid over the years. The time i have spent in LBSA PLaza will always be cherished and missed. OS Grid was my first for a lot of things.

I have learned so much for a lot of people in OS Grid.

Hugs to all affected by the shutdown. Where you may end up, you all know where to find me to keep in touch. I hope someone saves LBZA Plaza, i enjoy hanging out there. it was the central hub for all grids.

We are not totally sure what happened to osgrid but I reviewed the opensimulator code we use on Holoneon Grid and it seems plausible that inventory can be manipulated through the HG Inventory service. (it provides inventory service when you travel off grid to another grid). We closed some holes and added verbose logging in a separate log file.

ALSO, the opensimulator system allows HG Inventory access remotely, without authentication, 100% of the time. I changed the code on Holoneon Grid and added a gate that disables HG Inventory for your account if 1) you are NOT online or 2) you are online but on holoneon grid. makes it a bit better. The HG Inventory service should only be available if you travel off-grid.

Works in dev but lemme know if you have issues.

The 360° button takes JPG, PNG or WebP. Firestorm saves 360 snapshots as JPG by default.

Size limits:

The server allows up to 15MB per file (nginx’s limit).
Post photos are capped at 5MB.
360° snapshots can be up to 15MB.
Message photos are capped at 10MB.
