At the Star Jinn Palisade Mall in the Masala Al Kohav region of the Genesis Roleplay Grid - THOR'S FORGE - our dear friend Thorvaldr Ragnarsson has graciously set up a shop with us here at the mall and is providing his beautiful medieval builds for free and they are stunning. Another one of our awesome builders we're lucky to have him on board! Well, as they say, better late than never. We've done about two months of testing and ironed out a lot of bugs (I say a "lot" because it has been horrendous at times). I think we are now in a positions to go "live" and relax a bit.
We have renamed Opengrid to Castlehenge and downsized from 5x5 to 4x4 in an effort to make both regions the same size. As a result, I had to delete a lot of stuff from the outer edges. All the Athena and Decadence stuff has now gone as there is so much of it all over Opensim it was redundant. That has left us with a lot fewer freebies but we have retained Ruth and Roth, Selea Core, Paramount as well as the Clutterfly Warehouse and other open source stuff. Oh, and Synclair Designs is still there, too - authorised mesh women's clothing imports from SL textured in Opensim.
On the technical side; We are still having a few native problems with inventory - missing body parts and EOC errors but they do not seem to affect day to day running of the sims. I've tested hypergrid from another grid and there seems to be a glitch with bakes on mesh. The avatar looks fine to the user, but others see their body as white (no textures). It does not affect clothing, whether mesh or not. A workaround is for the visitor to toggle "Appearance Mode". Then the appearance is normal. This only needs doing once, I'm assuming so that the sim gets texture updates from your home server. Avatars already on the sim look fine to the visitor. We are running Opensimulator version 0.9.2.10 Yetti Release Unix/Linux/Mono Server.

My latest memorial is a very very special one. It is a memorial for my mother, a victim of cancer at the age of 50. She taught me so much of how to be a decent human being and to respect others. It took a woman like her to raise a kid like me and I'm grateful to God that she was my mother. She wasn't perfect by a long shot, but she was the perfect mom for me. So I wanted to have a memorial for her in the Park for Mother's day. If you have a loved one you would like to have memorialized in the Haven of Memories, just let me know, we can discuss the particulars and there is no charge, it's a free service because I care. Download the free program wc3270 for windows. Install it. Set up a connection to cyberdatastorm.com:3270. Your logon ID & PASSWORD will be USER100 & PIZZA OR USER101 & TACOS . You will have access too JCL, COBOL, ASSEMBLY, C++, REXX, and will be able to use the SYSDUMPs. You will be on sysplex1 with full access to 3380, 3390, and 3350 DASD. You will also have access to IBM 3420 TAPE Unit. You can explore what a mainframe operating system is like and how it is different from personal computers. Obviously you will not have access to TOP SECRET or RACF. I often say that anyone can learn PC stuff (personal computers) like Linux, Windows, or Apple OSX by reading just 1 thick 2000 page book. But for the mainframe you need to read about 200-300 of those thick 2000 page books. It is way more complicated. There are 5 mainframe operating systems: IBM Unix called AIX, IBM vm/cms, IBM os/400, Digital Equipment Corp VMS, and the Zos family. This mainframe you are logging into is in the Zos family. It does support full ISPF/TSO and CDC's (cataloged datasets). You will not have access to easytrieve, expediter, endeavour, and CICS.

Your IP Address is recorded every time you visit any sim in the robust log. This means you cannot go to ANY sim without your IP being recorded. All I have to do to see anybody's IP is go to my robust file, and search on part of their name. This pulls up their name, ip address, cmac, and key. So if you are paranoid or don't your information out there, then don't come to the metaverse. First of all the way ip addresses work, your IP address MUST be told to the server you are visiting so it knows WHERE to send visual data back to so that you can see it. In fact, this is how the entire internet works. So get a grip.

Damn, so be it. Take it all. I am tired of any two-faced bully. I Do not have a issue you take my vendors and set in your store. Not at all; some I work hard on, as I do in SL. And it seems to be so damn easy to steal from me there my money from RL, as I turned my cheek so many times, so I say hell, I cannot beat you down. Why not join them? So, you see, you ban me because you are guilty. I ban you because I do not have time for the drama. Sorry to the people who live in those crazy grids who banned me. I must do only the right thing! I close my doors to the grid.

This region is dedicated to preserving the beautiful memories of those loved ones, family members and friends, human or pet, who have gone through the portal of the ages and crossed over the rainbow bridge, not with a goodbye but "Until We Meet Again". Join HG Safari for this tour of a beautiful region that is created and designed with special consideration and love for others. I have scripted an absolutely gorgeous vendor board. I've left it in my sandbox, where you can take a copy, right in the center. It's very low cpu usage. It works perfectly. You must put at least 6 items in it. You also put the pictures in it. Name the pictures the same thing as the items, but put a period in front of the picture texture name. That's all there is to it. It's very smooth, sleek, and sharp. Definitely the way to modernize a lot of these old dated vendors you see in so many malls these days. :)

If anybody got this from our mall, please know that I did find an error in the build in that I'd missed removing some prim parts either because I didn't see them or they managed to "ghost" their way back in as sometimes happens, and were accidentally linked to the build. Either way, I removed the invading prims so that the mesh part is what remains reducing the land impact by almost 200. So if you got this house, I have the revised, corrected version available at the mall or just contact me and I'll send it to you. Blessings and much love, Lavia

The most recent addition to Stag Hollow, the Saw Mill. This is the interior of a mid 19th century water powered saw mill with a large circular blade. We are trying to keep things in this region as close to the era and history as possible to give it a more authentic feeling.

My exhibit consists of portraits I have taken of women who have contributed to Open Sim in significant ways, entitled, "Sculpting Prims: Female Visionaries In Open Sim." This exhibit is to honor and acknowledge the work of women that often goes unnoticed and shine a light on their many accomplishments.
My exhibit is only a part of the opening as we also have several talented artists exhibiting their work you don't want to miss.

Stag Hollow is still under construction and it is a cooperative effort among various grid members. It took a little searching and a lot of editing but here we have a whole herd of buffalo grazing in the valley between the town and the Indian camp. All are welcome to visit and if you'd like to have a home on this region we can discuss particulars. There is a hot air balloon to ride or you can find a horse rezzer in the stables of the blacksmith shop. Tour the hotels and restaurants and enjoy the many homes and businesses in this small town of Stag Hollow. There really is a lot to see here and I believe you'll enjoy it.
