Our next release to the Homelandz Public Library is a classic rather short novel that is a gripping and touching tale of 2 unlikely traveling companions, looking for work, and a piece of the American Dream. I highly recommend the modern movie remake of the black and white classic as well. The newer one features Gary Sinise as George, and John Malkovich as Lenny.

Of Mice and Men is a 1937 novella written by American author John Steinbeck. It describes the experiences of George Milton and Lennie Small, two displaced migrant ranch workers, as they move from place to place in California, searching for jobs during the Great Depression.
Steinbeck based the novella on his own experiences as a teenager working alongside migrant farm workers in the 1910s, before the arrival of the Okies whom he would describe in his novel The Grapes of Wrath. Now that i am back from my vacation and recovering from getting sick, I am working on a new project. When I was on the Cruise ship, I loved the spa so much I wanted to incorporate it into vb. The spa will be at Meditation Gardens. It will have some Saunas, therapy pools, ice room as well as massage rooms and the wellness pods will be moved into the spa as well.
