Name The OSW Users You Most Respect
Who can you recommend as someone you think should be listened to and taken seriously? In other words, who has earned your respect? Try to think of not only those friends who share your views on things, but also those people who do not. (But please! Don't say which person is which, because Yikes!)

*The topic here is respect. The tone of all comments should, of course, be respectful as well. I'm not asking for the general opinions of the relative merits of those named. If you agree or disagree with someone's choice, please keep your opinion private. Thanks for respecting the guidelines.

*I wish it weren't necessary to say, but nobody needs to know, and likely doesn't care, that you don't like the post. Please, just move on. I'll respect you all the more for it. Thanks!

*Just to be clear, this is not a popularity contest. We are not voting people up or down. You might agree or disagree with the choice others make. Feel as great as you like about how your judgement is better than anyone's, but, really, we don't need to know.

I'm working on a project and looking for people to work with on it. But I think this exercise could be helpful to the OSW community at large in some way.

You Can't Have A Poll Without Being Political
My Pol. Sci. professor said "politics happen whenever two people get together". That makes avoiding politics difficult. However, politics is more generally associated with making decisions in a group. And because of their role in elections and government decision-making, polls are a major part of the political landscape. An election itself is a poll (the only important one say some). Before and after elections, polls are a critical tool for gauging the "will of the people" beyond what simple election results can show. Polls are, by their nature, political.

A poll on OSW says that the will of the people here is that this is not a place for politics. But if you don't want politics on OSW, you lose just by voting.

Not that it matters. Polling results in OWS are not enforceable and will not stop political posts. Want to do something effective? Block people.

Everyone else is invited to an extended stay in the BDSM by MAGA region, where the beatings will continue until the complaining stops.

Someone commented on my last post that they had some of my mesh having issues with resizing. I want to always let people know...if you have an issue with the mesh, let me know. In the meantime, I have learned techniques (not mysteries for mesh creators, but I am new at it and slow) that prevent collapse and resizing texture issues. However, those things are always dependent on the piece, the original image that was used, and the texture itself. One of the reasons I include the textures with the pieces under contents is so that people can sharpen them, change the shading, etc. I don't always sharpen my textures. Some of the original images I used are done in styles like impressionistic painters. This make them look differently, but they are consistent upon resizing.
