migration begins! after about a year of running we're making some changes to assetd server. originally it stored assets in ipfs and kept local zstd compressed files on each region server. this burned up alot of drive space and 10 years down the road just isn't sustainable. So I'm getting rid of ipfs and storing all assets in s3 bucket. assetd pulls the assets on request, fixes broken ones if needed. with squid cache between assetd and opensim things are much faster. squid keeps current assets in ram for fast loading and stores less active assets in an optimized file structure. we can adjust the levels to increase ram and drive cache. i'm currently moving 2,583,234 assets into s3 bucket. after that's complete we just need to restart the grid, shouldn't be any downtime during the transfer though. on dev server assets load super fast. so we hope to have a better experience on holoneon grid in the next few days.

A little more magic has been added to Tumbletwig — A Magical Frog Fairy World. The newest addition is this enchanted Frog Fairy Fountain, with dancing water jets surrounding its tiny winged guardian.

Tumbletwig is being prepared as a complete downloadable OAR exclusively for DreamGrid users. DreamGridders will be able to bring the world into their own grids and explore all of its treehouses, winding paths, ponds, gardens, hidden places and whimsical details.

I’m still adding those final touches before Tumbletwig makes its way into DreamGrid — and this fountain found exactly where it belongs. 🐸

Vier Looks, vier Launen, und jede davon bereit, die Nacht zu erobern, als wäre sie ein persönlicher Laufsteg mit Happy Hour. Die eine flirtet mit Schulmädchen‑Charme, die andere trägt Dunkelblau wie eine Kampfansage an die Routine. Und irgendwo zwischen pinkem Zuckerwatte‑Mut und sportlicher Coolness steht das stille Versprechen: Heute wird keiner früh schlafen gehen.

Man könnte meinen, sie hätten sich abgesprochen – aber nein, das Chaos ist Absicht. Jede Farbe schreit „Ich zuerst!“, jede Pose sagt „Ich weiß genau, was ich tue!“ (auch wenn das nicht stimmt). Land Of Xzar Is Closed Until Further Notice. We are expanding it into a new attached region to cut any lag that could be experienced. Twice as big, with little added is the goal. Drew and I are working hard on the grid to bring new experiences. Exciting times ahead!!

So the regions are mostly built for Demon Island. we've had a few glitches here and there, but here are the realms: Demon Island (the landing), Thornridge (Mortal Realm), The Crossroads (battle realm), Avernine (1st ring of Hell), Tartarus (the Pit), Mercy's Leave (1st gate of the Divine), The High Court (Final Gate of the Divine) and The Ninth Veil (the Unhallowed Realm).

I am currently creating the interactions of for the RP system of Tribulations and have completed the following:
- village wells (gives fresh water)
- pond (allows bathing, drinking and giving livestock water)
- water reserve containers (gives water within homes & businesses)
- cleaning cloth (cleans up water spills - more to come)
- Interactive kitchen (TBA)

It will all be free, scripted and able to be used on any grid and will include:
- scripted buildings
- Farming and animals
- weather and weather events (think algae blooms, fish die-offs, changing conditions, etc)
- class and roles
- Races: Demons, Angels, Mortals and Unhallowed
- Interactive HUD that will allow you to go to different grids and interact
- Global systems with regional and domestic events
- realistic interactions, play and quests/missions
- Fishing and hunting
- Cooking and Preparation
- new low lag scripting
- fully functional RP items for just about every part of "life" inWorld
- script sets that can be used to mod personal items
- Master controllers that will allow different events (ownership, theft, punishment and more)
- various mod releases for cultural style play (Japanese, Native American, and more)

It should be opened in a few months, but i will keep updating this here!
