in diesem Jahr feiern wir das Pangea Kunst- und Kulturfestival bereits zum fünften Mal – und eröffnen es in Köln. Das hat einen ganz besonderen Grund: 20 Jahre virtuelles Köln. Aus diesem Anlass wird Köln in diesem Jahr zur lebendigen Bühne der Kunst. Das Opening startet am 24.04.2026 um 11 AM SLT / 20 Uhr – mit unserem DJ Marlon Wayne, der den Auftakt musikalisch begleitet. Auf der Kölner Domplatte präsentieren sich nicht nur Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit ihren aktuellen Projekten. Anders als in den vergangenen Jahren geben in diesem Jahr auch die kreativen Köpfe des Pangea Grids sowie aus anderen OpenSim-Grids Einblicke in ihre Projekte, Sims und Ideenwelten – denn dieses Festival lebt von Vielfalt und dem gemeinsamen Gestalten. Die Pavillons und Ausstellungen sind dabei nicht nur Momentaufnahmen, sondern Ausgangspunkte für weiterführende Projekte, neue Sims und künstlerische Entwicklungen. Dafür danken wir von Herzen für so viel Kreativität. this year we celebrate the Pangea Art and Culture Festival for the fifth time – and we are opening it in Cologne. There is a very special reason for this: 20 years of virtual Cologne. For this occasion, Cologne becomes a vibrant stage for art throughout the year. The opening will take place on April 24, 2026 at 11 AM SLT / 8 PM CET, featuring our DJ Marlon Wayne, who will musically accompany the start of the festival. On Cologne’s Domplatte, not only artists present their current projects. Unlike previous years, the creative minds of the Pangea Grid as well as other OpenSim grids will also offer insights into their projects, sims, and creative worlds – because this festival thrives on diversity and collaborative creation. The pavilions and exhibitions are not just snapshots, but starting points for ongoing projects, new sims, and artistic developments. For this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such incredible creativity. Among the artists presenting larger-scale projects this year are Cherry Manga, Tutz Zabelin, Tina Bey, Terra Merhyem, and Nyx Breen, who will showcase their work over the course of the year in evolving or newly created sims. We are also delighted to feature contributions from ArtBlue, Tryad Destiny, Loru Destiny, Juliette SurrealDreaming, Rage Darkstone, Kimm Starr, Ansjela Amat, Serafina Bollettie, Lampithaler Artist and Reyno Parx, as well as many others, who offer inspiring insights into their artistic work. Some of them continue to develop their work and are already part of the perspective for the Pangea Festival 2027. We especially honor Cleopata Rayal, who at the age of 88 presents her self-painted artworks and poetry in one of the art galleries in Cologne. Creative diversity also includes the builders of the carnival floats, to whom we extend our special thanks, along with all participating grids and builders. I want to tell you about COOL SCHOOL on the Curiosity Zone region! These fun classes are run by some of the greatest builders and artists in Open Sim, Koshari Mahana, Kimm Starr and Cooper Swizzle! There is a class every Saturday on Discord and there are videos for you to refer back to if you need more practice or miss a step or a class! They are teaching Blender, Sketchup, Meshy, GIF creating and more! It's all free, and these folks are not afraid to help one on one if you get stuck! The classes are for everyone for beginners on up! We all have a great time and learn so much to help keep Open Sim beautiful!! Classes are Saturday at noon. Join the server on Discord and get started today! Past classes are posted there too so you don't have to wait till Saturday to start learning, creating and having fun!! I can't wait to see your creations!!
