My dears, I'm being accused here of wanting to generate traffic. I can assure you that's not the case. This is a Sim where you can also live. It should be obvious that avatars will be there from time to time. I offer this stuff here so that there's something new every now and then, and I'm happy if you enjoy it. I don't really care how high the traffic is. I don't think I'll benefit from it in the end. I also don't want to take any of your traffic away. Therefore, I will remove this feature that the Sim displays here.

beta testing kubo/IPFS - backed asset server. if your regions are spread out in different continents like an octopus and the head is the robust server 'brain' you can run IPFS nodes on each region. Working on the brain node next, hopefully replace fsassets. I'm using content hashing to reduce dups, for example 500 blank notecards is only 1 blank notecard. code at https://codeberg.org/fionasweet/assetd it works as a cache for fsassets at the moment but still WIP

Dear friends,
Due to illness in my family, Iâll be stepping back for a little while. Mermaidâs Cove will remain open for your enjoyment, but The Golden Dreams Ballroom and The Blue Grotto will be closed for events for a few weeks.
I truly hope to be back soon. When I return, DJ Macy, Putrisolo, and I will bring you even more wonderful events to enjoy together and prepare for new live singers and DJs at the cove too!
In the meantime, please make yourselves at home in the cove â

âą explore the carnival,
âą and take a swim in Mermaid Lagoon.
There is 24/7 music, and the club and ballroom spaces remain open for dancing with someone special.

a little terminal DJ boothïž... to stream to your OpenSim land via icecast. liqit, python and a curses TUI that wraps Liquidsoap ^bubbles^ so you can run a full radio stream from your command line. rainbow playlist, live countdown timer, crossfade control, one-key jumps between tracks, streams straight to Icecast2. looks sick in tmux.
NO electron. NO browser tab. NO 400petas of node_modules. just you, your playlist, and a terminal that goes hard. runs on a pi, runs on a headless server, runs anywhere.
you can optionally mix in mic/aux/loopback channel (loopback for AI text to speech if you want, i.e. sudo modprobe snd-aloop then -mix hw:1,0 etc)
