Bad Event Idea #664: Best of Doomscrolling
“You can't get PTSD if you are the traumatic event”.
Many of the "Best Of" events in SL had the most ridiculous themes, made all the more funny by the event hosts not realizing how bad the themes sucked. I satirized these themes ages ago with the “Best In Demo” event in SL.
Imagine Avatars using pre-mesh shapes with huge hands and feet, and flexihair with “demo” signs attached, or the word demo as part of the hair texture. Add in skins extensively tattooed with “demo,” and clothing tagged as demo in some way, and you have a nightmare of an Avatar – and possibly one that wins the “Best In Demo” event. It was hilarious, and so popular that other clubs copied the idea. You can say my “Best in Demo” event was a demo for Best In Demo events.
Creators in SL put a demo tag on their products to prevent people from using the free version as a final, permanent piece. Then came OS. Sadly, there are no demos here, and so, no Best In Demo events either. But there are other fun event ideas, like “Best In Complexity”. Lunaria's entertainment venues are unique structures made in Opensim for Opensim. Available at Lunaria Emporium on Wolf Territories.
Just added a new ornament display with full PBR textures at the front entrance of the Emporium. Free and full perm.
All Holiday decor at Lunaria Emporium is now free and full perm for the season. All have been reworked and many have PBR textures added. I have trees, tree skirts, topiaries, wreaths, garlands, a snow couple, poinsettias, etc; some are prim and some are mesh. These are unique items available nowhere else in Opensim.
To find them, click the Holidays sign on the right as you enter the lobby.

What's New from V3??
• Fixed the glitch when piano is touched (owner or not) and nothing is selected, music stop being played by the slave prims and play only from root prim
• OpenSIM GrandPiano V4 uses now 1 script instead of 3 from old version - so less lag to your region!It recognizes all prims called "speaker" and sound come from each of them!
• Fixed the issue when more than 1 piano rezzed in a same region! They don`t interact with each other anymore.
• Fixed the issue on NOTECARDS "ALL" and "AVE MARIA" where some of the UUIDs were not properly insert so sound was not played.
OBS1: If sound not coming from the invisible boxes (the speakers) on 1st time when rezzing the piano, stop the music and reset the script.
OBS2: Special thanks for Clifford Hangar, owner of ALTERNATE METAVERSE GRID (AMV) who kindly helped me with this script (up to V3) and I could share to Opensim citizens. V4 modified and simplified via DeepSeek AI

To anyone that knew Brenden Joseph, the news has come that he suddenly passed away on Saturday. He was the one that ran the femdom grid Avalonia. He was also one of mine for a time. I was told he suddenly was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in October. It is quite a shock and I am sadden of this news. I didn't even know he was sick let alone get to say goodbye Prayers go out to his brother and his family.
