My region Five O'Clock Somewhere has a beacon or hacker problem? When I go to opensim I find my region coming up as Cirrus and it says GCG. I reset the key etc, but the problem keeps reocurring. How can the name of my Region and grid be changing and what should I do?

Can someone help please?
I have tried for 2 days to set up the open sim hypergrid TP, I followed all instructions exactly but when I paste my key and click submit nothing happens and I have message above the TP board saying Not Initialized.

At one time opensim use to have a thriving group of furs, nekos, kitsunes, etc.. but now their nowhere. Did they all go back to SL? Yes true there are my valleys, Bastian's Furry Paradise, and Jeeper's White wolf regions but to the best of my knowledge, that's it.

My 100 casks of maturing wine and whiskey are poofing expiring, my farm birds all became eggs, I lost three trays of stored produce reset to 0%, and all my vines and trees are stripped etc... after a reboot and when our grid was offline for 8 hours, I was wondering if I could get some assistance and information from a fellow farmer or maybe the developer of the farming game,

Hi, I'm a resident of OSGrid and am fairly inexperienced with hypergriding. I've been hopping to different grids looking for items to set up my avi and home on OSGrid, and I've had some successful transfers of items between various grids. Yesterday, I finally found a few buildings / structures for my new home at Cobra Bay Mall on Neverworld, but when I buy the items, they don't appear in my inventory. I attempted to buy 10-12 items, and each transaction seemed normal, barring the items actually reaching inventory. I received an "unable to authenticate" message with a singular item, but this message was not replicated with the others. Does anyone know what could be the issue?

That beacon has become a royal pain. And with no one answering me or fixing the problem as to the scripts in it causing my region textures to turn white including everything in it, not being able to delete the beacon(it always comes back), and no support for the performance for this thing makes me want to get rid of it. It has wrecked havok on my region since I put it down. Who is tech support for opensimworld and where do I contact them.I need this fixed asap.

FLEETWOOD Seamless Terrain Plates: Flexible Terrain for OpenSim – Without Traditional Terraforming

With the FLEETWOOD Seamless Terrain Plates, landscapes in OpenSim can be designed much more flexibly than with standard sim terrain alone. Instead of laboriously raising, lowering, and repeatedly adjusting the fixed region terrain, you build your landscape from freely placeable mesh terrain plates.

This makes it possible to create beaches, dunes, forest areas, transition zones, paths, slopes, and entire landscape sections exactly where you need them.

The major advantage: the plates remain objects. You can move, rotate, scale, replace, or completely rearrange them at any time without permanently altering the actual sim terrain.

Seamless Textures Across Multiple Plates

The system automatically aligns textures to the region coordinates. This means the texture does not restart on every individual plate, but continues across neighboring plates.

The size, position, and rotation of each terrain plate are automatically taken into account. If a plate is moved, rotated, or scaled, the texture alignment adjusts accordingly.

The result is a continuous landscape in which the individual terrain plates are much less noticeable as separate objects.

Automatic Tiling

The texture is automatically adjusted to the size of the plate.

One texture tile corresponds to a fixed terrain size within the system. Larger plates automatically receive more repeats, while smaller plates receive fewer.

This means the user does not have to manually adjust texture repeats, offsets, and rotation for every single terrain plate.

Central Texture Control

Clicking on a terrain plate opens the integrated texture menu.

The textures stored in the plate’s inventory are detected automatically and can be selected directly. No complicated naming convention is required.

You can also use your own textures without any problem. The only requirement is that they are seamless, tileable textures.

Simply place new textures into the terrain plate’s inventory. The system detects them automatically and displays them in the texture menu.

When a texture is changed, it is automatically applied to all related terrain plates within the same group.

For example, an entire beach area can be redesigned with a single texture change.

Brightness and Color Are Synchronized Too

Not only the texture itself can be changed together.

The surface color and brightness can also be synchronized within a group. This allows an entire landscape area to be made lighter, darker, warmer, or cooler without having to edit every plate individually.

The alpha value can also be synchronized.

This is especially useful when different terrain materials need to be visually matched to each other.

Terrain Groups

The terrain plates are already assigned to different terrain groups such as Beach, Forest, Dunes, or Rock.

Texture, brightness, and alpha are synchronized only within the corresponding group. A change made to the Beach Plates, for example, does not affect the Forest Plates.

This allows several different landscape areas on the same sim to be designed and adjusted independently.

Advantages Compared to Traditional Sim Terraforming

Traditional terraforming works well for the large basic shapes of a region, but it is considerably more limited when it comes to precise landscape forms.

The FLEETWOOD Seamless Terrain Plates offer much more freedom.

The plates can be freely moved, rotated, scaled, copied, deleted, or replaced at any time. This makes it easy to redesign a landscape later without having to rework the actual sim terrain.

Specially shaped mesh plates also make it possible to create terrain forms that are difficult or impossible to achieve with normal terraforming, such as:

gentle dunes,

beach slopes,

embankments,

hills,

depressions,

terrain steps,

shoreline areas,

or transitions into the water.

This is especially useful for beaches. A plate can, for example, begin to slope gently from its center and continue down to water level. This creates a controlled beach transition without having to lower large areas of the sim terrain.

Another advantage is the freedom of height. Mesh terrain does not have to be used only at ground level. Raised landscapes, terraces, sky landscapes, floating islands, or additional terrain levels can also be created.

The terrain plates function as modular landscape building blocks. Different shapes can be combined freely, for example flat plates, hills, dunes, depressions, beach slopes, transition pieces, or edge sections.

And if the landscape needs to be changed later, the entire terrain does not have to be rebuilt. The relevant plates can simply be moved, replaced, or removed.

I get these constantly and i got annoyed so i figured out a fix. This happens when firestorm can't fetch get_grid_info url for a grid. It's not the grid list in preferences, it's landmarks, groups, and maybe friends. Anyway the default toast is "OKCANCEL" and i changed it to "OKIGNORE". this way the user still has preference and and option to disable or enable the warnings.

in this example i'm using ENGLISH so you have to pick the language you use. Or change all of them, which might be work for nothing if you only use one language.

edit as Administrator: C:\Program Files\FirestormOS-Releasex64\skins\default\xui\en\notifications.xml

(note "en" directory is for english, the other languages are there. also change the path depending on your installation)

find "CantAddGrid" in the file. Change the usetemplate to OKIGNORE like this:

restart firestorm. the next time you get that warning there's a checkbox to ignore future warnings, if you check it and hit ok you won't see those anymore.

I don't understand people. Someone gets a region for free so they can build a shop for themselves. Then they start creating alts to manipulate the statistics and generate fake visitors for themselves. When I point out the problem to them, they pretend not to understand what I'm telling them.

I've now made the decision that nobody gets free land anymore.
