Were there Native American casinos and ABBA tribute bands 12,000 years ago? Researchers have studied Native Americans’ use of dice for more than a century. Evidence now shows that they have been in continuous use from 12,000 years ago all the way up to the present-day. Did prehistoric Native Americans turn their caves into casinos? Not likely. But Native American oral histories refer to gambling frequently. Written accounts of Native American dice games tell of large crowds gathering around the game and all kinds of side bets going on during the contest. Gambling has been bringing people together for centuries. Listening to ABBA tribute bands? That’s a more recent phenomena. It’s also a bad event idea, because, ABBA.

Even more fun for the weekend. Pardon my mess as I am taking everything off 'Full Bright at night" and doing some PROPER lighting for a change. Who knew Opensim is capable of interesting texture effects without PBR!?

The Sunflower Bakery & Cafe has both Ukrainian and Irish Foods. Ireland has taken in over 112,000 Ukrainian refugees since the invasion and war with Russia began. Some of the refugees have gone other places but many have stayed, making Ukrainian people and culture a signifigant part of Irish culture now too. The bakery on Fianna Rua is owned by 2 sisters from the Ukraine. You will find Paska - Ukrainian Easter bread as well as some traditional painted eggs. And the bakery of course also has local Irish treats. Immediately under the gnome cookies you can see on top of the counter are Fifteens.

"Fifteens are a popular, no-bake Northern Irish traybake named for their core ingredients: 15 digestive biscuits, 15 marshmallows, 15 glacé cherries, and sweetened condensed milk. This sweet, sticky, and chewy treat is rolled in coconut, chilled, and sliced. They are easy to prepare, perfect for tea, and often served as a nostalgic treat."

On the right in that same section you can see Irish Cream Horns.

"Irish cream horns are a classic pastry made from flaky puff pastry wrapped around a cone-shaped mold, baked until golden, and filled with whipped cream or pastry cream. They are often dusted with powdered sugar, offering a light, crunchy texture paired with a soft, sweet filling."
