After building the glass house, it gave me an idea, a log home. This log home is partial mesh and partial prim the mesh is modifiable only in that you can re texture it. It has large glass windows to provide a beautiful view, a built in fireplace, cedar and tile floors, spiral steps, carved wood doors and stain glass windows and beautifully carved wood baluster for the kitchen area and a acacia wood and stained glass baluster for the loft. It's a home I could live in for sure. It's full perm and free here at the mall and you will find it next to the "Ancient Builds" which is listed on the Kiosk Teleporter. Howdy folks!!! One of our new grid members wanted a house that was very open, so with that thought in mind I created this house for her, however I'm making it available to anyone who would like it. This house features a built in fireplace, split levels, spiral stairs, decks, recessed ceiling lights (touch light), sliding doors and a carport. The build is pretty much all prim so it will be easy to modify and the mesh parts can be resized and re textured to your liking. It is full perm and free here at our mall, stop by and check it out. just in case people dont know what formal is.. its Tuxes for the men and Gowns for the ladies.. if you come not dressed in Formal to the Ballroom you will be to told its a formal venue.. 2nd time I have to tell you you will be ejected third time Banned. The Only Club that has a dress code is the Ballroom, and its listed as a formal venue on all ads and notices. The Train Station, TG.IF and Fetish Factor do not have dress codes.

Here is a parking garage for your town or city. The arms raise to allow entrance. The top part is faux so only the bottom floor is accessible but you get the look of a full parking garage without all the prims. (40 prims total, without cars.) The cars inside, you should be able to copy if you wish. You can find it where the industrial buildings are. Thanks for stopping by.

Lately I have noticed a lot of drama, hate and bashing towards other people. I try to ignore most of it but lately it has become to much. Why do people feel the need to use hateful words or put someone down.

No matter what religion we are, gender, political views or whatever it is, cant we just agree to disagree.

I have seen a lot of people in my time in Opensim do amazing things, anyone that can DJ, build, script and anything else, is awesome to me. For the ones that constantly tell everyone they are awesome its because they are. They do a lot of things i do not know how to do or cant.

So in conclusion, I would like to say thank you to all creators, builders, scripters, and etc, because without all of you, my regions wouldn't look as good as they do. I may take things and place them and put them together but the credits go to the creators, builders and scripters.

Instead of name calling and tearing people down, lets be a little kinder, lets ignore the negative and worry more about spreading positivity.

Your IP Address is recorded every time you visit any sim in the robust log. This means you cannot go to ANY sim without your IP being recorded. All I have to do to see anybody's IP is go to my robust file, and search on part of their name. This pulls up their name, ip address, cmac, and key. So if you are paranoid or don't your information out there, then don't come to the metaverse. First of all the way ip addresses work, your IP address MUST be told to the server you are visiting so it knows WHERE to send visual data back to so that you can see it. In fact, this is how the entire internet works. So get a grip.

I have scripted an absolutely gorgeous vendor board. I've left it in my sandbox, where you can take a copy, right in the center. It's very low cpu usage. It works perfectly. You must put at least 6 items in it. You also put the pictures in it. Name the pictures the same thing as the items, but put a period in front of the picture texture name. That's all there is to it. It's very smooth, sleek, and sharp. Definitely the way to modernize a lot of these old dated vendors you see in so many malls these days. :)

To all the role players out there, we are opening many of our public regions to role players to use as "sets" to film their role play. Perhaps you have a story to tell, but you don't have the time, or perhaps not the skill, to build a fitting "set" for your role play scenes but would LOVE to film your characters in action. While SL embraces PBR in an attempt to embrace greater 'realism' using the increasingly creaky old technology we’re all familiar with there is a backlash among Generation Z and other younger demographics towards cutting edge gaming with hypereal graphics and an embracing of older, less graphically real aesthetics. Some of this may be down to the fashionable adoption of retro, as in the numbers buying things like typewriters and traditional film cameras, but is some of it also likely a backlash against the increasing trend for hyperrealism where it’s no longer really easy to spot something real from recorded game action.

I am not a gamer, hence there have been a few times when I’ve been watching videos purporting to be actions in the current Russo-Ukrainian war where the game graphics have been so good that they appear to be real, it’s only when one looks more intently that it becomes subtly obvious that it’s recorded game action and not footage of an actual battlfield encounter.

I’m aware of arguments that the graphics of SL/OS are ‘poor’ but I have never agreed as this is a very subjective area depending on so many different factors, such as the comparisons being made. Relative to Minecraft and Active Worlds the graphics of SL and Opensim are fantastic, but compared to a photograph or the hypereal renderings of high end computer graphics, very poor indeed. Personally I rather like the aesthetic of SL/Opensim and would argue that the aesthetics are neither good nor bad, but exactly what they are. I’m not arguing against hyperrealism for those who want it, but rather agruing that the current graphics are regarded as fine by the vast majority if those who use Opensim and SL.

This article in today’s Guardian prompted me to write the above after last week I read something about the implementation of PBR in Second Life. Sometimes maybe, less is more, and if the aesthetics of retro games are appealing to Generation Z and other demographics younger than the average found in Opensim, then maybe there is hope yet that our hobby will endure. After all, Active Worlds is now nearly in its 30th year, has a very faithful and dedicated community together with graphics that make Minecraft look good!

Hi Everyone , just a post for new people. I run a few free malls within Neverworld Advantis , All Free Shopping Spree , Free Port and have a hand in many more places . We try to keep alot of our items full perm . Plase on any sim you are visiting remember when you click on a vender that item has to be sent from the grids server you are on to your home server. If you click to fast walking around hitting everything like machine gun kelly all that will happen is scripts will stop working and servers will stop communicating . All we ask as sim owners is take your time you do not want to crash sims or just not receive items.
