in diesem Jahr feiern wir das Pangea Kunst- und Kulturfestival bereits zum fünften Mal – und eröffnen es in Köln. Das hat einen ganz besonderen Grund: 20 Jahre virtuelles Köln. Aus diesem Anlass wird Köln in diesem Jahr zur lebendigen Bühne der Kunst. Das Opening startet am 24.04.2026 um 11 AM SLT / 20 Uhr – mit unserem DJ Marlon Wayne, der den Auftakt musikalisch begleitet. Auf der Kölner Domplatte präsentieren sich nicht nur Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit ihren aktuellen Projekten. Anders als in den vergangenen Jahren geben in diesem Jahr auch die kreativen Köpfe des Pangea Grids sowie aus anderen OpenSim-Grids Einblicke in ihre Projekte, Sims und Ideenwelten – denn dieses Festival lebt von Vielfalt und dem gemeinsamen Gestalten. Die Pavillons und Ausstellungen sind dabei nicht nur Momentaufnahmen, sondern Ausgangspunkte für weiterführende Projekte, neue Sims und künstlerische Entwicklungen. Dafür danken wir von Herzen für so viel Kreativität. Zu den diesjährigen Künstlerinnen und Künstlern zählen unter anderem Cherry Manga, Tutz Zabelin, Tina Bey, Terra Merhyem und Nyx Breen, die ihre Arbeiten im Laufe des Jahres in entstehenden oder sich weiterentwickelnden Sims präsentieren. For this occasion, Cologne becomes a vibrant stage for art throughout the year. On Cologne’s Domplatte, not only artists present their current projects. Unlike previous years, the creative minds of the Pangea Grid as well as other OpenSim grids will also offer insights into their projects, sims, and creative worlds – because this festival thrives on diversity and collaborative creation. The pavilions and exhibitions are not just snapshots, but starting points for ongoing projects, new sims, and artistic developments. For this, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such incredible creativity. Among the artists presenting larger-scale projects this year are Cherry Manga, Tutz Zabelin, Tina Bey, Terra Merhyem, and Nyx Breen, who will showcase their work over the course of the year in evolving or newly created sims. We are also delighted to feature contributions from ArtBlue, Tryad Destiny, Loru Destiny, Juliette SurrealDreaming, Rage Darkstone, Kimm Starr, Ansjela Amat, Serafina Bollettie, Lampithaler Artist and Reyno Parx, as well as many others, who offer inspiring insights into their artistic work. Update on the Mysterious Island
In 2026, a paleontologist and her boyfriend arrived on the island to conduct research on the "Pau na Xota" tribe. King Naxota agreed, but her boyfriend was taken prisoner, and she had to accept the tribe's rules. The last existing photo is of an acceptance ritual and a celebratory banquet. Of course, the banquet consisted of the body of a member of a rival tribe who was killed in battle. As far as is known, the paleontologist had to "please the king." But after a few weeks, there is no more news about the couple.

THE INIQUITOUS FUN FAIR — An OpenSim Story
What a crazy time we live in. The news cycle shows you a town in crisis while HIDING the story which should get coverage. But here in OpenSim, we have a Virtual Town in Crisis; that is... THE REAL STORY... and all of you are invited.
Dismayland exists because of worldly conflict. It was inspired by Banksy, whose art has always held a mirror to the absurd. As an NPC enthusiast, I found a wellspring of ideas to draw from, even without seeing the original exhibit in person. My thought was simple: What if theme parks were truly honest with their customers?
As a Florida resident within driving distance of every major theme park... and well aware of the drama surrounding them... this scenario was too good to pass up. Everything here is fictitious, but loosely based on reality in ways that will be obvious only to those who follow local news. Take that for what you will.
What we have here is a Digital Virtual Novel you can explore. Leave your worries behind. Enjoy a nonsensical portrayal of the ridiculous... because that is what entertainment is. Nothing that happens here influences the outside world, as someone was kind enough to point out. What is a virtual novel without plot twists, corruption and some intrigue?
Enter the Dismayland Scavenger Hunt.
Dirty Helga and I were brainstorming maddening additions for Dismayland. I reject most of what Hollywood produces these days, so I turned to older films for inspiration. I have seen scavenger hunts before but they were far too easy. I wanted something epic.. something outright crazy, yet honestly solvable.
What emerged: a game board that remotely renames objects, a separate script that deploys roaming 'sploder' drones dropping clues, deceitful NPCs, misdirection, MISINFORMATION and a cow being abducted by aliens who holds nothing but contempt for that insufferable game board. All of these elements were already present in Dismayland. I just needed code to make it all work together... and that is where the turpitude of Dirty Helga shines. Nobody knows the lore better than her, and she was instrumental in stitching it all together.
There will always be some politics in OpenSim. My plan is to keep whatever exists here specific to the grid... not reality. When you're ready for your ESCAPE, The Iniquitous Fun Fair awaits.
Most mornings I am at Dismayland sipping coffee with my script editor open. Care to pop in for some coding conversation?
Maybe I can start using the Happy Hour feature.

They are teaching Blender, Sketchup, Meshy, GIF creating and more! It's all free, and these folks are not afraid to help one on one if you get stuck! The classes are for everyone for beginners on up!
