Im Jahr 1985 formte sich in den Hallen der Abingdon School in Oxfordshire eine Band, die später die Musikwelt revolutionieren sollte. Ursprünglich unter dem Namen „On a Friday“ gegründet – eine Referenz an ihren wöchentlichen Probentag – bestand die Gruppe aus fünf Schulkameraden, die sich in einem ungenutzten Musikraum trafen, um ihrer kreativen Energie freien Lauf zu lassen.

This party is a tribute to the 1970s hit TV show "The Midnight Special". We will be listening, watching, and dancing to a live stream on a huge TV screen! It will be a compilation of some of the show’s greatest artists.

The Midnight Special (1973–1981) was a late-night music show, hosted by Wolfman Jack, that aired on Fridays at midnight. Famous for bringing rock, pop, soul, and folk to television, it stood out by featuring live, raw performances instead of lip-syncing. With stars like David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Aretha Franklin, and The Bee Gees, it captured the spirit of the 1970s music scene and remains a cultural landmark of the decade.

It will be hosted by Koshari Mahana and Passion Jumanji in GroovyVerse, owned by Hyacith Jean.

We hope to see you there! Come as you are or dress in you favorite 1970s clothes. Everyone is welcome, tell your friends!
